One of the developers of Minecraft Pocket Edition, specifically Jason Major, shared an intriguing screenshot on his Twitter page that many of you will find appealing.
In the image above, you can see a sheep tethered to Steve with a leash. As you might have guessed, leashes are set to be introduced in an upcoming version of Minecraft PE, and we hope this will be included in Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.15.0. Leashes offer us several advantages.
When you attach a leash to an animal, you can:
- Tie animals to fences.
- Lead animals around.
This feature will be fantastic when leashes arrive in MCPE 0.15.0. You’ll be able to transport animals to your home without mods, create your own farm, or tie up several animals near your house to enhance your landscape.
Currently planned features for MCPE 0.15.0 include:
- Pistons and sticky pistons with new animations.
- Resource packs and textures.
- Command blocks and mods (possibly commands).
- Horses, ghost skeletons, withers, and possibly polar bears.
- Trading and dialogues with villagers.
- Smooth graphics.
- Raw mutton.
- Village generation in taiga biomes.
- Potential new biomes.
- Possibly new mobs and blocks.
- Realms.
- Name tags.
- Possibly worlds with a height of 256 blocks, similar to PC.
- Leash.
