Every year, as the cold winds begin to blow against our faces, we eagerly anticipate a family celebration filled with gifts, decorated homes, and a series of joyful festivities that culminate in one special day: Halloween! There are two new maps along with a mix of returning mini-games for Minecraft to help you celebrate.
Every few weeks, the Minecraft community gathers a mysterious gift like this. No tricks, just treats! Amazing maps crafted by the community and sent to you at no cost – all through the Realms service on Java Edition.

Late
While the staff in Late enjoy access to an espresso machine and can play card games in Minecraft during breaks, the number of cups consumed and employees with bleary eyes suggests their work environment is quite stressful. And while playing on this map, it won’t be any less intense. Explore the detailed and immersive setting created by Terra Swoop Force for last Halloween.
If you’re a video content creator (or even if you’re not), this map is perfect for gameplay or recording yourself. The combination of eerie atmosphere and spine-chilling events unfolding makes Late an adventure that’s considered very creepy for reviews. If you truly crave thrills, try playing in the dark… A warning to parents of young children and those easily frightened: there are several jump scares in this game, and this Minecraft map may lead to chair tipping, keyboard tossing, and general chaos.
Survivor
Survivor is a top-down zombie battle game where you can choose from classes like ninja or… clown? Select between four different levels, grab some friends, and see how long you can fight off hordes of zombies. The key to surviving on this map for Minecraft will be your strategy in battling the massive influx of hostile creatures surrounding your team.
Top-down games are rare in Minecraft, as Minecraft is primarily a first-person experience. We’re excited to see something new and hope to witness more such games in the future!
Pumpkin Party (Update)
Returning from last Halloween, Pumpkin Party is a collection of six mini-games that can be played solo or with a group of friends. New in this version: trick or treat! Choose a costume, grab a bucket for collecting pumpkin candies, and head to neighbors’ houses for chocolate emeralds! Also available are Spider Run, Pumpkin Carving, Shooting Gallery, Brewing Contest, and Graveyard Mayhem.
