Fortunately, I’ve never faced a dragon attack. However, after witnessing the creation by Gateux, I find myself contemplating giving it a try. Of course, it’s unlikely anyone would want to be scorched alive by the fiery breath of a massive dragon, nor does anyone dream of feeling sharp teeth on their face. Yet, when the dragon is a stunning red-winged beauty from the project TheRed1337, you might just reconsider. The desire to see her up close is quite tempting!
Thankfully, we don’t need to risk our lives to appreciate the magnificent project TheRed1337, known as Adrian. His splendid castle, breathtaking forests, and awe-inspiring dragon leave a lasting impression. Truly, creating something like this may forever remain beyond my reach.
“My ideas come very spontaneously,” Adrian shares with us, “I can start bringing something to life in Minecraft PE right after I think about it!” In his current project, he drew inspiration from Walt Disney’s castle and immediately began crafting. It all started with his intention to depict the royal family that owned the castle. To achieve this, he had to delve into a lot of theory to accurately recreate the structure. With each iteration, his castle became more formidable and imposing.
“My goal was to convey the idea that when another user of Minecraft PE sees my creation, they will be amazed at how powerful the royal family must be for having tamed a dragon and held the fortress for centuries!” Adrian explains.
This fortress is what Adrian takes the most pride in, and there are far more significant reasons than just being a magical castle. In my opinion, the standout feature of the project is its composition. The village—essentially a fragile area—is overshadowed by the towering presence of the fortifications. Small wooden houses and fishing boats are completely eclipsed and protected by the gigantic, impregnable gates and stone facade. Meanwhile, large hot air balloons reflect the castle’s spires, which appear minuscule in comparison.
“This project is one of my earliest major creations. It took me a considerable amount of time to build all the structures. Nevertheless, I’m still not satisfied with the village; it seems too small and underdeveloped to me, and the location isn’t ideal either,” the builder asserts.
And everything looks fantastic, even without mentioning the remarkable golem and the mythical dragon guarding the structure. Just imagine living in a castle under the protection of these two giants! Although wait, that sounds terrifying. No, don’t think about it.
However, while creating these beings, Adrian encountered significant challenges. “My biggest hurdle was organic materials since I primarily see myself as a creator of various structures, although I can occasionally work on terrain.”
But then the team Team Visionary came to his aid, helping him tackle the enormous creatures. DoriFyah_ designed and built the golem for him, while user iDragolyte assisted with the dragon that protects the kingdom.
All the finer details that enrich the kingdom were crafted by Adrian himself. Ships seemingly bouncing on the water and charming little houses lend an extraordinary realism to the map, making it feel truly inhabited and alive—all thanks to the hands of a single creator.
“I believe,” Adrian states, “that the smallest elements, whether ships, boats, or anything else, add maximum depth and immersion to the map. They aren’t the foundation of the structures, but they are indeed one of the most crucial aspects of construction where our builder has found his niche. The colossal statues of the dragon and golem, the royal palace with its unique yet natural beauty, along with vital signs of life within it—this represents a tremendous effort put forth by Adrian.
For those wishing to replicate similar compositions in their projects and infuse a special atmosphere, Adrian offers his advice: “It’s essential to observe a wide variety of different creations and artistic compositions. If possible, develop your own unique style or blend multiple styles for a compilation in your build. Don’t forget to include the tiniest details that will help bring your project to life,” Adrian shares with us.
“But be prepared—creating a large project requires not only a lot of effort but also time. For instance, it took me about three months to complete the project. Most of that time was spent in the castle, trying to find the perfect view for myself.”
You now have some initial guidance. Just find your source of inspiration and start creating in Minecraft Pocket Edition! At first, you might hate your creations, but remember—they propel you forward. Oh, and avoid adding wooden structures if there’s going to be a dragon living there!
