How much time was required to complete the largest update of Minecraft? Wow, it’s more than you can imagine! In addition, a significant number of people were involved in this effort. Diligent developers worked tirelessly to ensure the update’s quality, along with pixel artists and, of course, the person responsible for keeping the drinks stocked in the fridge. In reality, we can’t list everyone since there are so many, but we also want to extend our gratitude to all the players of Minecraft Bedrock for consistently providing feedback on the beta versions throughout each stage of the update. Without your input, it wouldn’t be what it is today, and we take pride in having you!
The most exciting news is the release of “Village and Pillage” for Xbox One, Windows 10 Edition, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. The update has been completed and is now available for download across all platforms. After months of anticipation, it’s finally here! Are you ready to explore new villages, battle brand-new mobs, and discover a wealth of opportunities?
We will provide detailed information about all the changes below, but while you’re still here, let’s briefly highlight some of the most interesting features:
- Pillagers! What can we say about them? We love unique additions just like this mob. We might even overlook their rather grim appearance. The key is to craft a crossbow before they launch an attack on you.
- The wandering trader. A little character who roams the vastness of Minecraft Pocket Edition in search of someone willing to purchase his goods. Of course, I could spend a significant amount of time explaining everything about him, but why rush when I can simply direct you to a video that contains ample information about the wandering trader? If videos aren’t your thing, feel free to check out our article on the subject.
- Trading in villages. In every village you visit, you’ll notice that the locals are engaged in their new hobby. You can observe them and immerse yourself in that atmosphere by downloading the update today!
Stay updated on Minecraft for Xbox One, Windows 10 Edition, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, and enjoy!
However, there is an issue: some mobs may lag at times and could appear on the maps in the Marketplace as new villagers. The developers are currently addressing these bugs, and we kindly ask you to avoid entering these worlds to prevent any unpleasant experiences. You can find more detailed information here: aka.ms/brokenworlds.
Please note that there is currently a bug affecting HD texture packs on mobile devices. Using these texture packs may cause crashes in the game. Until this issue is resolved, we recommend refraining from using HD texture packs on mobile devices. We hope the developers will fix this soon.
