A bit of coding from 2016

What could you learn in just one hour? A bit of math? Some English? Perhaps a touch of “science”?

Not much, really. That’s why you should be excited about our newly created second textbook “Hour of Code“, designed to teach you the fundamentals of coding in just 60 minutes. We introduce concepts of game design and computer science through easy-to-follow steps before diving into mob behavior and more. Of course, becoming a master coder like Jens takes longer than an hour of practice, but this is a fantastic starting point.

Last year, “Hour of Code” was played over 31 million times, making it the most popular resource on Code.org. Despite its success, we have revamped it significantly better than in previous years.

Both textbooks from 2015 and 2016 are now available at code.org/minecraft, so head over there and give it a try; it’s a great opportunity! Oh, and if you’re still feeling unsure, check out the video below!

Thank you all for reading! Enjoy coding!
