Happy update day to all fans of Minecraft PE!

Changes in 18W14A

• New item: Phantom Membrane
• New potion: Slow Falling Potion
• Four new achievements available
• Updated textures for kelp

Changes in 18W14B

• New block: Sea Cucumbers
• Updated names for coral blocks introduced

• Destroying a waterlogged block will now only remove the block, not the water

Phantom Membrane

A rather eerie item.

• Now required for repairing elytra
• Phantoms drop membranes instead of leather
• Used as an ingredient for crafting Slow Falling Potion

Achievements

Make progress across Minecraft Pocket Edition.

• Fishy Business: Catch a fish
• Tactical Fishing: Catch a fish without using a fishing rod
• A Throwaway Joke: Throw your trident. Tossing away your only weapon isn’t the best idea
• Very Very Frightening: Kill a villager with lightning
• And that’s just the beginning!

Pull

Splash!

• Incompatible with “Loyalty”
• Pull won’t work while on land, meaning you can’t attack with the trident
• Pull doesn’t launch the trident forward – it propels you forward along with the trident
• Looks fantastic!

Coral Names

We sincerely hope they receive their final names!

• All full coral blocks are now called “Coral Block”
• Coral plants are referred to as “Corals”
• “Blue” coral is now known as “Tube Coral”
• “Pink” coral has been renamed to “Brain Coral”
• “Purple” coral is now “Bubble Coral”
• “Red” coral is termed “Fire Coral”
• “Yellow” coral is labeled “Horn Coral”
• For instance, “Blue Coral” is now “Tube Coral Block”
• For example, “Purple Coral Plant” is now “Bubble Coral”

Sea Cucumbers

What else could they be called? They truly are cucumbers in Minecraft PE!

• They spawn naturally or alongside corals
• A block can contain up to 4 cucumbers
• The light emission level depends on the number of contents
• You can obtain green dye from them
• Salted cucumber

Bugs Fixed in 18W14B

• MC-121715 – The command /xp appeared on the “Create New World” screen
• MC-124923 – Unable to obtain green dye from cactus
• MC-126957 – Some blocks removed water even when having water-repellent properties
• MC-127242 – Drowned caused crashes in Minecraft PE
• MC-127911 – F3 key was non-functional
• MC-127915 – Levitation replaced by slow falling
• MC-127916 – Trident with “Pull” enchantment disappeared when thrown in survival mode underwater
• MC-127924 – Slow falling counted as a negative effect
• MC-127960 – Achievement information for “A Throwaway Joke” contained errors
• MC-127973 – “Energy Cocktail” and “Impossible Possible!” did not refresh
