Wild Update is still a long way off. However, you can take advantage of a mod with the same name that brings all the features of the update to Minecraft Bedrock Edition right now.
Benefits of the Wild Update Mod
To begin with, this modification introduces the dark depths biome. Naturally, it will generate underground.
In Minecraft Bedrock, the creator has introduced four relatively new mobs along with two structures – a fortress and a castle.
Unlike regular bees, the skulk variants will engage players in combat. These blocks have significantly altered their brains.
There are two types of skeletons and zombies present, along with a skulk ant (which is absent in the Minecraft PE version!). All these mobs possess fire immunity, and you can create a special type of powder from the bone meal of a skulk skeleton.
A new ore type called skulkium can be found in this biome. It is suitable for crafting armor (currently only). To mine it, at least a stone pickaxe is required. Wearing this armor will prevent attacks from skulk mobs.
Six new blocks have been introduced:
- Sculk
- Catalyst
- Screamer
- Trap – capable of consuming a creature or even a player
- Vine
- Stone
Vines can be utilized for decorating other blocks or crafting new items. Another type of mushroom can be discovered in the dungeons, though it currently has no specific use. Various ores may also be found within sculk. As demonstrated by Mojang, the Minecraft on Android creator added mud blocks and bricks made from them. Interestingly, you can throw mud as well.
The forests are adorned with hollow logs, which likely have been lying around for quite some time, gnawed at by various insects. There are also small stones scattered about.
The mod author has slightly altered cave generation, resulting in the appearance of “mined” cobblestone and slate within them.
