This is a preliminary release of version Minecraft 1.14.4, which addresses several bugs. On behalf of the developers at Mojang, we encourage you to report any issues you encounter, as this helps ensure the game runs smoothly and reliably.
Changes (Second Release)
- Bugs related to loading Minecraft Bedrock have been fixed.
- Village inhabitants can now store a larger quantity of supplies.
- Even after villagers turn into zombies, they will retain memories of their past gossip.
- Villagers are now much better at choosing the paths they take.
- Villagers no longer need to interrupt their tasks to replenish supplies.
- Once a player has turned villagers into zombies, the rumors about this will linger for a longer period.
- The “Player Activity” button that used to be in the “Area” is now absent.
Fixed Issues (up to the second release)
- Creatures residing in water were unable to navigate through swampy areas.
- Villagers struggled to find their way.
- Now, villagers do not seek paths to their POI (point of interest — a location marked on the map, which could be a creature or an object). They could only locate that point if they were within a small radius of it.
- Previously, mobs attempted to dodge incoming damage. This behavior has been removed.
- Chunks were not loading correctly or failing to load entirely due to the player entering their API incorrectly.
- The previous version 1.14.3 had a bug that caused the mouse sensitivity to increase unexpectedly.
- Issues with saving occurred because you included a space in the debug dump files.
Changes (First Release)
- Bugs have been fixed.
- The previously suspicious soup made from poppies, which granted players increased speed, now provides night vision instead.
- Performance improvements for Minecraft Bedrock.
- A feature has been added to send reports about occurring errors. Enable it in your settings to assist developers in enhancing the game’s quality.
Corrected Issues (Before the First Release)
- After a player used an enchanted bow and gained experience, they needed to draw the string again.
- Zombies spawned from village sieges continued to appear even when the “doMobSpawning” option was disabled in the game settings.
- Zombies generated during village sieges did not respawn at the center of the block; instead, they utilized the coordinates of the block’s position.
- A bug that caused players to crash out of Minecraft after pressing the ESC key.
- Some functions operated without your knowledge.
- Acacia leaves appeared as a different color (orange or red) when viewed from a distance.
- In agriculture, the villagers continued to walk around and did not stop collecting items.
- If robbers crossed a barrier or fell into the water, they were unable to find a way out and remained there.
- At times, the loading of a city or ship would be interrupted, leaving some parts unloaded.
- If you killed a zombie while transforming into a drowned one, it would drop items typically dropped upon a zombie’s death, yet ultimately, the zombie would still become a drowned version.
- When attempting to type an uppercase letter Э (Cyrillic) in the chat, it appeared in unicode font (not bold), whereas all other Russian and Ukrainian characters were automatically highlighted in black.
