Just a month ago, Minecraft donated $10,000 to charity. This contribution supported an organization dedicated to providing clean water to every corner of the globe. While this is a significant investment, unfortunately, the issue is much larger, and once again, we need your assistance.
If that doesn’t sound convincing enough, let’s take a look at the statistics. Currently, 663 million people lack access to clean water, which is about one in ten individuals. They are in dire need of our support. Minecraft Bedrock has decided to launch another charitable campaign, and I believe that even the smallest donation will make a difference for those in need.
Fortunately, numerous game developers and creators of various projects have shown their enthusiasm, which is why this time we are joined by Jigarbov Productions. They have crafted an amazing map along with a complete set of skins themed around the “Wandering Merchant.” The best part is that all of this is completely free. You can already visit the Marketplace to download them for Xbox One, Windows 10 Edition, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. Hold on, I can hear your cries. “Does this mean I’ll only get one llama skin? And what does this skin have to do with providing water assistance to those in need?” We didn’t want to reveal it too soon, but fine, you’ll actually receive not just one, but two llama skins. As for the charity aspect, once the “Wandering Trader” surpasses 100,000 downloads, Minecraft Pocket Edition will donate $90,000 towards helping provide water for those in need. In total, that means $100,000 has been allocated to ten water projects!
According to the project organizers, the donated funds have benefited over 3300 individuals. In reality, we only need a small amount of assistance from you—just download the map and skin pack. We hope that each of you will participate and contribute to this initiative. To be honest, we’ve been monitoring your engagement in previous events and noticed that you consistently surpass the target within a very short time frame, which brings us immense joy and gratitude.
