Exploration of outer space is advancing at a much faster pace compared to the study of our oceans. If you’re wondering why this is the case, you might find some answers here. Meet the anglerfish! Which would you prefer: a journey into space or an encounter with this creature? It seems scientists have opted for the former. However, for the creator of this compilation, Drogo, there’s nothing to fear. “I came across a couple of images of this fish on Pinterest, and I decided to try recreating it. I thought maybe there was something else interesting, so I searched for ‘marine life.’ Never repeat my mistakes.”
“The assembly was crafted using Worldedit and Voxelsniper. The former was utilized for the fabric components, while the latter was employed for the pointed features.” There are tools available for Minecraft that can only create straight shapes, which in this case would have been the least favorable option. “To start off, I outlined the anglerfish’s shape and then extended the hanging lamp. The actual part where the tool’s tip glimmers represents the fangs. For crafting them, I used the Arcaniax’s spike tool, and it was incredible!”
I must admit, despite the sheer terror, I feel a sense of awe when gazing at this creature’s jaws. I try not to focus on the teeth, but it’s impossible. Have you noticed the webbed fins? Or the row of lights running along the fish’s back? Looking at these fish, I envision a scene. A small fish says: “How can you call yourself a fish in Minecraft, if you were created with tools?” The larger one replies: “My friend, there is nothing more Minecraft than using mods to create art. I think it’s time to wrap things up because I’m getting hungry!”
“During the detailing phase, I added side fins, gills, and other small features like eyelashes and something resembling a hand. In the end, I made final adjustments and polished everything,” shares Drogo. “The little fish was created in exactly the same way.” Poor fish had to endure the long journey of creation, from outlines to polishing, only to be pierced by the fangs of a deep-sea monster.

The fish appears more intimidating at night, but during the day we can appreciate the scale of its body parts relative to one another. Look at the gills; they make up about one-third of the entire fish, and as for the teeth, I think no further comments are necessary.
“I am truly pleased with the outcome of my work,” says Drogo. After completing this assembly, he decided to focus on bust sculptures from Minecraft Bedrock. Currently, his collection features a roaring lion and a proud dragon depicted in bust form. There’s an amusing aspect here: since fish lack a clear distinction between their body and head, the entire body became its bust. However, Drogo has no intention of stopping at this achievement and aims to continue creating similar assemblies.
