Minecraft PE presents a challenging existence. You begin with no resources and alone, typically surrounded by trees, leaving you with little choice but to strike them repeatedly until you’ve gathered enough wood to shield yourself from the terrors that emerge at night in MCPE. This can be an incredibly daunting task! Especially if you’re playing solo.
Hold on, it’s time for a break. Your blocky brain needs some rest after all that – chopping trees, mining diamonds, fleeing from spiders. Come here, friends. We have something that will suit your needs.
Raven SMP is a team of ten builders in Minecraft Pocket Edition, which may sound like a logistical nightmare, but in this dazzling world of wonders, ten people are just enough to create something extraordinary. Rather than being merely a village or themed project, the Raven world is a kaleidoscopic jumble, ranging from towering windmill skyscrapers to quirky glass apartment buildings and a massive object in the sky shooting lasers right at you. Oh my.
The team has spent considerable time experimenting with colors and shapes, making exploration throughout the MCPE world an incredible delight. It’s akin to a pleasant day at a museum, minus the mummies and statues. Well, I suppose it depends on what kind of museums you visit.
At the spawn point, there’s a charming little village. It started as a communal building area, according to team member Trog. “We allow everyone to build wherever there’s space, then connect paths to each structure so they resemble more of a village.”
Even with ten team members constructing their own creations within the same space, they manage to interpret everything together in a way that resembles a village complete with shops, farms, and even a graveyard.
Wait, a graveyard? Who’s buried there?
“The graveyard was a punishment for me,” says team member T-Rav, whose names (and causes of death) you can see on the tombstones. “Every time I died, I had to place a grave to motivate myself to improve in survival Minecraft PE.” Ah, if only real life could be so forgiving.
They’re complex to navigate, but one of T-Rav’s reasons for dying is “trying to fly.” Yes, I can relate.
In other areas of this Minecraft Pocket Edition world, large-scale experiments take place, such as hanging gardens and a city in the sky. The Raven world isn’t just a collection of random architectural styles thrown together; every building, every location, every peculiar little design experiment tells a story.
“I narrate a story for each of my builds as I construct them,” explains Trog, describing how he generates ideas for each new project. “I built a city in the sky, and while creating it, I devised various mini-plots.” He even refers to this technique as his “signature function” – the ability to perceive the history and background of a place is crucial in crafting something original and engaging.
As I mentioned earlier, this entire world—from the grass to the castle peak in the sky—was constructed in survival mode. The team has shared videos documenting their journey in building the whole world in Minecraft PE, which they refer to as “Season One,” with promises of a second season coming soon, featuring new mods to make it even more exciting.
Surviving in survival mode is already quite challenging, let alone creating an entire world, but when working alongside friends, anything becomes possible. You can share resources and assist one another, which plays a significant role in building in MCPE.
“We all simply wanted to have a close-knit community,” states Trog, “so we launched a server for Minecraft Pocket Edition for survival and played on it for several months.” Team member Jena mentions that “the goal was to create a world where players could combine their unique talents,” with T-Rav feeling “like family.”
This might seem difficult, but Trog asserts that they work exceptionally well together. “We always encourage each other to do our best and offer advice whenever we can.”
“Everyone has their own ideas about what they’d like to accomplish,” adds T-Rav, “and sometimes we’ll come together for special events, like gathering in the End dimension or finding a woodland mansion just for fun.”
When people say their team is “like family,” it can evoke different thoughts. Some families argue, others hardly communicate. But a good family supports one another, functioning as a cohesive unit when necessary, yet allowing individual interests to flourish. This is what Raven SMP embodies—a group of individuals united by a common interest in MCPE, coming together to help each other achieve more than they could alone. It’s a true family.
