As the New Year rolls around, many of us make various promises to ourselves, such as eating less, waking up on time, or collecting Pokémon. However, if you’re anything like me, you find yourself trying to keep those resolutions even when it’s already July, and you’re munching on cheese from a can at 3 AM without any Pokémon in sight.
Such commitments can be quite challenging to maintain. Yet our featured builder has decided to take on the challenge of completing one project each month, regardless of what it may be.
“I made myself the simplest promise – to build one project per month. It could be something I’ve never done before or something that pushes me out of my comfort zone, and I want to feel completely satisfied with it,” explains the creator.
“My journey with the game began with Minecraft Pocket Edition. Back then, I was just a kid. But I realized the endless possibilities that lay ahead of me, even though I couldn’t create anything substantial.”
The developer has long transitioned from Minecraft PE to the PC version, but the sense of challenge still drives him:
“I really enjoyed the challenge I set for myself. I’m someone who always needs to feel challenged because it keeps me growing and improving. Thanks to this challenge, I’ve tried new things that were difficult for me,” shares the artist.
Whenever I need a push, I hop on my scooter – it’s the best thing I can do, although usually, I’m much more disciplined.
“I really want to be productive. But before starting this project, I didn’t feel that way at all. With this task, I have to consistently complete assignments every month and achieve success. Working with deadlines is great.”
He continues to stick to his goal and takes pride in it.
“In the past, I attempted to work on three or four projects a year, but I never succeeded. I couldn’t finish any of them because I’d start, dislike it, and give up. Now, to reach my goal, I don’t stop even if I encounter something I don’t enjoy,” reflects the author.
This serves as an excellent lesson for all of us, reminding us repeatedly: we must continue pursuing what we love despite any obstacles.
“My favorite projects often started when I had no idea what to build. Then I would try to begin something I was skeptical about. I kept working on them, and suddenly, everything clicked – I started enjoying the process,” says the builder.
This struggle hasn’t ended after a year. CommonSense continues to forge ahead. And believe me, it’s not easy, but the hardest part isn’t what you might think.
“While I focus on building one project a month, the most challenging aspect for me is coming up with ideas. I struggle to conceive something that captures attention and inspires.”
The author has no intention of stopping and is already halfway through creating a new project. “I’m almost finished with something truly exciting. This project has already been named – Red Velvet.”
