After several weeks, the developer of the widely recognized add-on for Minecraft Pocket Edition — specifically Toolbox (by MrARM), finally shared the reasons behind the delay in releasing the updated version of Toolbox for MCPE 0.14.0.
The developer, MrARM, announced on his Twitter that unfortunately, we will have to wait quite a while longer for the Toolbox update. He explained that he has started working on a Launcher for Toolbox, which turned out to be a much larger project than initially anticipated.
Sorry, for the really long wait on Toolbox. I've been creating a launcher for it and it turned out to be a bigger project than I thought.— MrARM (@MCMrARM) March 13, 2016
In one of his recent tweets, there was an interesting “moment” — he stated: No, I’m *not* dropping BlockLauncher support. This implies that the developer does not intend to discontinue support for BlockLauncher, even if his Toolbox program will feature its own Launcher with a launch system + x86 support.
It is important to note that the word *not* was placed in quotes. This suggests that: No, I’m dropping BlockLauncher support. — MrARM may actually be withdrawing support for BlockLauncher. If we understood correctly and this is what the developer intended to convey, then the next release of Toolbox will come with its own launcher, independent of BlockLauncher.
Now it's really not far away, also will come with x86 support as well as a built-in launcher. No, I'm *not* dropping BlockLauncher support.— MrARM (@MCMrARM) March 13, 2016
P.S.
— With this turn of events, it’s possible that the developer might consider changing the name of Toolbox again. Many remember how he changed the name from Too Many Items to Toolbox — which shocked many! Let’s see what happens this time! =)
