You may be familiar with our featured builder today – Adam Aequotis Berry, who has amazed us with his stunning creation – Westpoint. This time, he has chosen to step away from modern themes and delve into the Middle Ages. His latest project, named Catalné, beautifully encapsulates the essence of a bygone era and showcases authentic rural life.
“Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the Middle Ages. I enjoyed playing with swords, bows, and arrows, even crafting model castles. Now I’ve realized that I can create something similar in Minecraft Pocket Edition!” – shares the creator with us.
The entire project is built upon my childhood imagination. It features a vast, towering, and impenetrable forest, along with quaint villages filled with countless intricate details that you might find hard to envision.
Speaking of details, he speaks the truth – just take a stroll through the map in Minecraft PE and you’ll discover an abundance of elements. For instance, a tiny bird hiding behind a bush or swarms of bees. Clusters of items around a campfire or stacks of logs. All these aspects contribute significantly: such imagery brings us closer to reality.
This impressive visual experience is not solely attributed to the developer but also to the Conquest textures, which introduce various blocks and greatly enhance the overall appearance.
However, don’t assume that simply using textures will give any project this aesthetic. The credit goes largely to Adam for creating such a romantic atmosphere. From the landscape to the smallest details, everything carries significant meaning.
It’s worth noting that the scenery resembles a scene from southern Europe rather than Yorkshire, where the author resides. The inspiration for the locale came from a friend living in Catalonia.
“I believe you’re aware that this region is renowned for its independence and freedom of thought,” – points out the developer.
Fantastic! Now hurry over to Minecraft PE: it’s time to explore the Middle Ages.
