Taiga? Savannah? Or perhaps a desert? These are the three most fascinating biomes in Minecraft, and we have exciting plans for them: we aim to introduce new features and mobs into each one!
However, unlike writing articles, game development demands significant effort, dedication, skills, and time. While we will update all biomes, the question remains: which biome should be prioritized for an update?
We have great news! The decision is in your hands! During the MINECON Earth livestream on September 29 (this Saturday!), you will have the opportunity to vote live on Twitter for the biome you believe should receive its first update. Work on it will commence immediately after the event concludes. Wait, does that mean we’ll miss this weekend? Oh no…
Check out this video featuring superstars like the Java Team, Jens, and Agnes, who explain how the voting system will function.
Don’t Miss Your Chance to Vote
To participate, you’ll need to tune into The MINECON Earth stream this Saturday, where the voting process will be announced. If you’re wondering how to join the live event from anywhere in the world, click here.
Once voting begins, you can cast your vote directly on Twitter for Minecraft Bedrock. Just make sure to set a reminder so you don’t miss anything important. Every vote counts! Then, during the stream, we will launch a poll on Twitter with three options: Taiga, Savannah, and Desert.
All you need to do is select the biome you’d like to see updated first and click “Vote.”
Later, during the MINECON Earth livestream, the biome with the fewest votes will be eliminated, leading to a showdown between the two remaining contenders. Please double-check that you’ve set a reminder or noted the event date so you won’t miss the chance to vote.
Not familiar with Twitter polls? Here’s what it looks like:
[1/4] – This is a poll I just created. You’ll see something similar during the livestream. Follow @Minecraft on Twitter to ensure you don’t miss the voting.
[2/4] – Simply choose the option you want to vote for and click the small circle next to it. It couldn’t be easier!
[3/4] – You’ll see a green checkmark in the circle. After confirming your choice, hit “Vote.”
[4/4] – Once completed, you can view the current results of the poll.
To clarify any doubts, let me emphasize that you’re not voting on which biome we will update but rather which one will be updated first! Rest assured, we plan to gradually refresh all biomes over time.
Additionally, we’ve noticed that this is the only update we’ve announced for the upcoming MINECON Earth. Don’t worry; we have plenty more news to share with you, including updates related to the future of Minecraft Pocket Edition. So it’s crucial not to miss the stream and set a reminder: MINECON Earth on September 29!
