Amazing temples! Lush pink flowers! The garden is so stunning that I would burn my own garden (and dry out the soil to prevent anything from growing) out of envy! Yes, it’s fair to admit that I am a huge admirer of today’s showcased structure, a Japanese marvel crafted by the building team Minecraft PE Apenda.
In fact, the lead builder, PandatiX, chuckles every time he reads his team’s name. “At first, we didn’t have a name,” he shares, “instead, all my friends called me Panda, and in French, we said it was ‘la team a Panda‘. So I thought, ‘Hey guys, I’ve come up with a team name – Apenda!’
The love PandatiX has for pandas stems from his admiration for Asia and its architectural style. He aimed to explore Buddhism, traditional buildings, and nature, as well as Japanese, Chinese, and Buddhist architecture. Spiritual balance alongside physical form. I can’t say he seeks any material aspirations!
Special mention goes to PandatiX’s mother—she instilled in him a passion for architecture. Oh, how sweet! His mother’s enthusiasm inspired him to become an architect, leading him to build in MCPE.
Initially, the project was meant to be just a small activity center for a friend’s server. However, PandatiX fell in love with what he was doing, and his creativity expanded far beyond the original plan. “For this project, I sketched a layout, and the advisors told me it was ‘interesting’, so I built, terraformed, and decorated it.”
At that time, PandatiX was the sole member of the Apenda building team, which meant he had to handle everything for Karyyuka-ji. While his close friends provided support in Minecraft Pocket Edition and offered help, PandatiX focused on drafting plans, researching local architecture, and integrating structures into organic buildings and trees.
“To ensure the decoration turned out great, it took time, and I couldn’t continue this project because the client needed it urgently,” he explains. Thus, he devised a solution to the time constraint without compromising the integrity of the construction. “I decided to use the ‘Plututrace Tree Pack’ and ‘Epic Rock Bundle‘ from Bidule995. They are talented builders, and I fell in love with their work.”
Therefore, while Karyyuka-ji can be considered a one-person creation, without these builders providing various packs to assist others, there wouldn’t be such a map in MCPE looking as it does today. Additionally, the surrounding greenery of these trees perfectly complements the buildings themselves.
PandatiX happily acknowledges that this isn’t the only assistance he received. His girlfriend suggested adding colorful cherry blossoms to the construction—which became exactly what breathes life into this place and adds immense beauty to the entire composition.
“For me,” he says, “this construction for Minecraft Pocket Edition represents my passion and simplicity in architecture. Beyond its scale, this assembly appears to be possibly lost somewhere deep within our complex world. A touch of realism. After all, this creation is simple, not as intricate as many constructions, making it accessible for beginner builders.”
He’s absolutely right! Why not try creating your own vibrant gardens?
