Dragons! Giraffes! Two deer sharing the same name but looking completely different, we assure you! Yes, we’re back showcasing some recent builds that have been introduced to the Minecraft community and nearly caused a heart attack (in a good way). This week – constructions featuring animals!
Tom and I have our own preferences when it comes to everything, whether it’s building styles or the proper way to enjoy a cup of tea. However, when it comes to these amazing creatures, we are in total agreement – they are wild, stunning, and utterly inspiring.
Also: a bit terrifying. Seriously, if you encounter one of them in real life, run and hide.
Fantastic Dragon on Mushroom Island
Emily: “This towering island, precariously swaying on its spindly base, is adorned with beautiful yet hazardous lava flows and magnificent mushrooms that are definitely not edible, instantly capturing attention. I’m absolutely thrilled by this little world!
As for its sole inhabitant, the climbing dragon, I guess he just really loves mushrooms? That topmost one – big, plump, and juicy – seems irresistible to him. But why doesn’t he just use those glassy pink wings to dive into those mushrooms?”
Mechanical Giraffe
Tom: “Speaking of monsters, I should be terrified of this mechanical beast, but the madness of creating such a delightful steampunk giraffe is simply enchanting.
This build has completely overshadowed regular giraffes for me since they seem so dull in comparison. Do real giraffes have windmills on their tails? No.”
Icy Dragon – Thirst for Freedom
Emily: “This creation was originally made in Minecraft for PlanetMinecraft’s Snowglobe competition, which somewhat explains why our beautiful creature is hidden beneath a glass dome. The fact that the icy dragon is in the process of breaking free gives it a unique sense of motion. This movement makes the dragon appear more lifelike while still showcasing all the glory of its fantastic icy design.
On one hand, it’s simply breathtaking! Look at the power of this mighty dragon smashing through its glass prison! On the other hand: how did it actually get stuck in the snowy realm? Silly dragon! Nevertheless, I love it. More magnificent beings breaking free from tourist trinkets, please!”
Magical Deer
Tom: “Two builds MCPE in the same article with the same name? Looks like we might get fired. Oh, but maybe not.
Clearly inspired by the wonderful wolf game ‘Okami’ (which itself drew from Japanese folklore), TheMrPinguin merges a wolf with a deer to create an entirely white creature that beautifully contrasts with the brighter elements of his construction. Will he skip mentioning the ‘animals’ point if I say that the lush green reeds are my favorite part? Well, we’ve already mixed up two equally named creations, so I’m going to touch on the reeds anyway! No rules! Anarchy!”
Fiworld
Emily: “Breaking away from traditional dragons and deer, builder Minecraft Mikket summoned tropical birds into this vibrant world. Whether they are drawn by the richness of flora and fauna rising over the cliffs and covering the land, or simply captivated by the enormous twisting rings, remains unclear. We’re not sure if this place will have any other inhabitants besides these giant parrots.”
Magical Deer
Emily: “Although they may share a name, the magical deer HeavensGift takes quite a leap from TheMrPinguin’s. Both are white deer, but this one settles on just two colors throughout the composition. This deer embodies movement and a sense of magical tranquility. The fact that its antlers extend from its floating white-gray body adds an extra layer of elusiveness – much like smoke curling upwards into the sky before peacefully vanishing.”
