Over a year ago, the content team of Minecraft introduced a segment called “Block of the Week,” but things didn’t go as planned. They published only one article and then stopped. Now, after all this time, we finally have another installment! This comeback could be likened to a limited release from a pop star in the mid-2000s in Vegas. Recently, an impressive structural block made its debut in the beta version of Minecraft Bedrock. Technically, it was already present, but now it’s truly operational. Amazing!
Have you ever tried playing beta versions? These are platforms where new features are tested before being integrated into the main game. To participate in this testing, you’ll need to access Minecraft through one of the following platforms: Windows 10, Xbox One, or Android, and then subscribe based on your chosen platform.
Keep in mind that beta features may be unstable. They are designed for testing newly developed functionalities. It’s crucial for players involved in these tests to provide feedback to developers, as this helps refine and enhance the features, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience in the future.
What about structure blocks?
Structure blocks are a new, highly useful feature that allows players to edit specific constructions in Creative mode. Among other capabilities, there is an option to copy an object or even an entire build and relocate it anywhere within the Minecraft Bedrock world. Before you start experimenting with structure blocks in the beta version, make sure to enable experimental gameplay in the game settings. Let’s explore how structure blocks function in the Bedrock edition:As with all great lessons in Minecraft, we will begin by constructing a bright pink house.Next, we need to select a structure block. For this, we’ll use a command starting with “/”, typing “/give @s structure_bloc”.
Next, place the selected building block next to your lovely pink house.
Then, right-click on the structural block to open the menu as shown in the image.
If you wish to copy just the object without including mobs and other entities, make sure to disable “Include Entities.” Conversely, this option works the same way. You can enable this feature to clone Wandering Traders, pigs, and other useful, delightful mobs at your leisure! Why not stick a label saying “Dolly” on a sheep and recreate scientific experiments in Minecraft Bedrock? In the upper left corner of the menu, there are three modes available: “Save,” “Load,” and “3D Export.” Let’s select “Save” now.
