Thomas announced that the release of the new game version, specifically Minecraft PE 0.13.1, is set for November 16, 2015. He also pointed out that this is unusual (they “never” disclose exact dates) to avoid jinxing it, as there have been multiple instances where release dates were postponed indefinitely, leading to frustration among hundreds of thousands of players from MCPE. However, this time Thomas mentioned he would test this superstition in the name of science!))
What if I told you that 0.13.1 is out next Wednesday? Would that be enough to jinx it? Let's try, for science.— Tommaso Checchi (@_tomcc) December 11, 2015
We are not entirely sure what the developers will include in version Minecraft PE 0.13.1, but one thing is certain: it will feature a significant number of bug fixes. Additionally, based on the screenshot from Jason Major shown above, we can infer that the update will involve skins. It might introduce a new skin pack, likely themed around Christmas (we’re 99.9% confident), and there may also be a possibility of collecting mob heads after defeating them, though these are just our speculations.
Furthermore, judging by the screenshot, it seems we will be able to wear mob heads on our characters!
P.S. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments about what could be included in the upcoming 0.13.1!
