Minecraft 1.15.2 Pre-Release (Part 1)

A preliminary release of version 1.15.2 for Minecraft: Java Edition has been announced, detailing the bugs that have been fixed as well as new features. The update is expected to be available sometime next week.

Changes

  • When breaking a beehive with silk touch, nearby bees will no longer enter a state of rage.
  • New rules have been added: “doPatrolSpawning” and “doTraderSpawning”, which control the spawning of patrols and wandering traders.
  • The new feature “gui_light” allows for light management when displaying a model as an item in the graphical interface.
  • When rendering the block model within a slot, light control is activated. If the value ” side ” is set, the model will be displayed as a block. Conversely, if ” front ” is chosen, the model’s appearance will be shaded, resembling a two-dimensional element.
  • A tree that grows within two blocks of flowers at the same level has a 5% chance of spawning bees.
  • There is also a 2% likelihood that bees will begin to spawn in flower biomes in Minecraft.
  • In other locations such as forests, wooded hills, birch forests, tall birch forests, and both high and regular birch hills, there is only a 0.2% chance for bees to settle there.

Error Fixes

  • In certain situations, spawn protection did not function as intended.
  • When entering the radius of a beacon with an active potion effect, players could lose that effect upon leaving the area.
  • A minecart with a furnace traveling straight and then turning would lose some fuel after the turn.
  • Concrete powder did not convert to concrete when it came into contact with water; it remained as powder.
  • If a player climbed a ladder while using elytra and pressed jump, they would fall to the base of the ladder.
  • Occasionally, hoppers only collected one honeycomb instead of all available ones.
  • The display of user interface icons was overly dimmed.
  • In the settings of Minecraft, all words were capitalized except for “input,” which was in lowercase. This has been corrected.
  • Some item models appeared excessively dark in the inventory.
  • The textures on the right side of the critical hit had an extra pixel, giving them an asymmetrical appearance.
  • The horse armor was not aligned properly with the horse armor in the inventory slot.
  • A few seconds before disappearing, mobs would gain red outlines.
  • Reloading the resource pack often resulted in significant lag.
  • The glowing armor stands marked with “1b” did not display a glowing effect on the items shown on the stand, even though players could see the items.
  • When standing three blocks away from the bed to the northwest, you were able to sleep in it, while facing southeast resulted in an error.
  • The monsters located in various directions exhibited different attack capabilities, even though the distances from them to the player were identical.
  • When throwing an iron golem and inflicting damage, one could observe the textures labeled “iron_golem_crackiness_“.
  • If a bee entered a hive after being in a boat, minecart, or other objects, it would no longer be able to exit the hive.
  • The End Crystal was previously very dark. This issue has been resolved, and it now shines brightly again.
  • The count of pollinated crops for bees was reset.
  • Breaking a hive without using silk touch resulted in the death of its bees.
