Hello again! It’s been quite a while since our last update. Steve and I have been busy working on the latest Minecraft update. I know it sounds pretty canonical, considering Steve has no last name or first name. However, in my mind, he has always been Steve from Minecraft, and you might disagree, but no one can change my mind.
With the release of the new version, updates for in-game content are necessary, along with various toys that map makers will need to assemble their creative creations. This week, we’ll explore seven new maps and see which old favorites are making a comeback in the Realms library with fresh updates. If you’re missing any mini-games and want to see one return, reach out to a map maker and share your suggestion.
Capture Kings: A Challenge for True Monarchs.
We’re returning to Realms maps with Capture Kings, featuring wonderfully crafted games like King of the Hill or Control Point Arena battles. Players select three skills before entering the arena. The goal is to control the central point long enough to claim victory, but don’t forget about securing additional side points. You may need to enhance your experience or make your blocks tougher to break. Just stay back and place blocks where the opposing team least expects them; they might mistake those blocks for their own.
After a certain period, you’ll earn currency that you can use for upgrades. Remember to spend your hard-earned coins wisely, and you could quickly find yourself leading over the other team!
The Missing Sandwich II
by ElectroBleach, GenericallyNamed, and Meeepy12.
There’s no doubt that video games serve as strong motivation for Doctor Pickle, who is also trying to create the tastiest sandwich. Unfortunately, the historical villain Limfan ruins this delightful sandwich, and it’s up to you to save it. Along the way, you’ll encounter other characters such as a sneaky spider, hungry snowmen, and creepy skeletons. Your adventure culminates in a temple where you can prove once and for all who deserves to possess this delicious sandwich.
Cave
by LetzTaco and EliMe5
So far, I’ve experienced numerous adventures across various maps, and some of my favorites feature unique mechanical elements and extraordinary items with their distinct styles. Of course, you can acquire a sword in Minecraft Bedrock and embark on thrilling raids, bringing enemies to their knees. But what about ghostly leaves and ultra-vision torches?
The Cave offers many unique items and an original storyline that should be unpredictable for anyone accustomed to more traditional gameplay. The narrative here is exceptionally mysterious and abstract. It starts off eerie, as the story unfolds in a prison and concludes with a battle against a mad wizard. Although perhaps we’ve revealed too much already.
Trial
by GrmpfhcGames
The Trials are back. Puzzle enthusiasts may remember encountering this game back in 2016, and now, two years later, it returns with an update for 1.13. I found my original review of this map, stating: “Fortunately, there’s a video guide on how to tackle these trials because I’m clearly not skilled at navigating this type of gameplay! Based on my last attempts to overcome it, I can only accept this fact.”
Backtrack requires you to move forward and sometimes retrace your steps if you get lost. The wool room allows you to ascend and descend, but soon you’ll be running away from blocks. At that moment, you must look around and see where you can optimize, then collect any wool you manage to save. Smart and logical placement of water blocks and pistons is crucial, and if you find yourself staring blankly at a wall, just check out a walkthrough video.
Conveyor Crane
by Dieuwt
Have you ever wondered how terrifying it would be to get stuck on a conveyor belt in a factory, dodging various toxic substances? If such thoughts have crossed your mind, we can provide you with that experience. The Conveyor Crane game accommodates one to four players, where you must evade death not just from the front but also from behind, the sides, and even below. Overall, it’s simply about avoiding demise—no big deal, right?
Bonuses will help you stay on the belt, but various substances will do everything possible to lead you to your doom. Stay alert and watch out for explosions.
Clockwork
by Swifter_1243
Clockwork is a mysterious map that teaches you simple gameplay mechanics, gradually increasing in complexity as you progress. You’ll easily jump on disappearing and reappearing blocks, but as you advance, the difficulty ramps up, requiring you to leap between multiple blocks simultaneously. There are also ghost blocks, teleportation barriers, and I still can’t believe I hadn’t seen all of this before. With Clockwork, fans of jumping puzzles will feel right at home.
