Today’s featured creator, known as billoxiiboy, prefers not to be labeled a builder; instead, he sees himself as a true gardener who has cultivated the stunning creation Island Beneath the Mist.
This perspective makes sense—this masterpiece was shaped not only by billoxiiboy but also by countless builders from the Minecraft Pocket Edition community. They contributed their designs, which eventually became part of this grand project. The developer simply decided to compile all these creations into one world, resulting in something truly magnificent!
“My new project can be described as ‘copy and paste.’ It may seem incredibly simple from the outside and perhaps unworthy of attention. But trust me and my extensive experience—it is far from being ‘quick and easy,'” the author notes.
However, beyond selecting the finest works from the entire community, our builder must obtain permissions for their use and articulate the design concept behind them. Unfortunately, this process is not as straightforward as merely copying their structures. “The success of my project hinges on the thoughtful application and integration of each contribution from every user of Minecraft PE. It’s crucial to consider context and seamlessly incorporate each creation as if it were meant to be there from the start,” explains billoxiiboy.
“This aspect of the work can consume an immense amount of time and effort. Such tasks are always accompanied by necessary adjustments, whether it’s refining a project or modifying the landscape. I constantly have to think about preserving the original author’s vision, so I ask myself questions like, ‘Will the author be pleased with these changes?’ or ‘Why should this element be placed here?’
“There are times when I spend over an hour working on an element, only to realize that it never belonged there,” shares the project’s creator.
The meticulous work on corrections and refinements resulted in the development of Island Beneath the Mist taking over two months, even though the builder dedicated several hours each evening to the project! However, all the energy invested proved worthwhile—the author is more than satisfied with the outcome. “All the goals set were achieved, making the completion of this creation a significant reward for our efforts.”
The author even has some favorite spots within the project, namely Pool of the Mage and Heavenly Ponds. “They exude an indescribable atmosphere of tranquility,” remarks the builder. Indeed, the project features many mysterious areas.
“As someone who dedicates considerable time to creativity in Minecraft PE, I am extremely pleased with the numerous creations sent to me. They are truly remarkable!”
Of course, collaborating with such talented and exceptional artists makes it challenging to choose favorites. Instead, billoxiiboy discusses his approach to using water in this project. Water is an element whose physics can be quite complex when working on projects. “I believe I’ve done a commendable job with the waterfalls, significantly enhancing them. After spending many hours perfecting them, I always enjoy placing them alongside my flower beds and cascading vines,” reflects the creator.
It brings great joy to see how many diverse areas have been realized in the project, including underwater coral reefs. Undoubtedly, there’s plenty of space for swimming!
The author is always eager to add new creations to his project! “Every area in my project was developed collaboratively with other players. However, as you know, the world in Minecraft PE is incredibly vast, so I’ve left plenty of gaps for new regions. Additionally, I’ve envisioned creating certain images with ideal surroundings where players could build their homes, castles, and other structures!” the builder shares.
“These images were designed to facilitate good screenshots. Yet, I always feel a sense of incompleteness, so I want to address them as soon as possible!”
After successfully engaging a large number of users, our author decided to embark on a new narrative. Exodus from Paradise incorporates elements from Island Beneath the Mist while introducing fresh concepts, including steampunk-style hot air balloons and deadly wasps!
