Minecraft Marketplace serves as a hub for discovering creative content, featuring an array of new maps, skins, and mini-games. Last month alone saw the addition of 131 new maps, all crafted and shared by players from Minecraft.
It’s impossible to cover every update (mostly because we’re busy playing video games), so each month we select a few of the most unique and intriguing maps to share with you. However, before making our selections, the team must review and analyze each map thoroughly before writing the article. Finally, we’ve reached this point!
Bred
by “Furious Craft Room”
If you’re craving movement and have a passion for wall climbing, then look no further! “Bred” is a challenging parkour adventure map where you’ll navigate through 25 levels filled with various missions and obstacles. Not into parkour? No worries! This map might just make you fall in love with it! Run, jump, tease your teammates, and battle other players to carve your own path to the top. Just remember, whatever you do, don’t fall.
“I’m pretty sure I’m the biggest parkour fan on the entire content team (everyone except one person said ‘Yes’). I enjoy video games as much as I enjoy my coffee; incredibly difficult to the point that it reaches that sweet peak of frustration that makes you want to throw your monitor out the window, yet brings unparalleled satisfaction upon completion. I’ve been told I can drink my coffee backwards, but that won’t work with this map. In terms of parkour, it’s very cleverly designed; you’ll need to view every block you see as a potential step in a small yet complex and epic journey. However, be warned: their studio name is one of the harshest and most honest on the marketplace – stepping (and jumping) is easy,” says Oscar, a member of the Minecraft Bedrock team.
Harsh and honest? Hmm, let’s find out! “Fury…room…craft,” oh no! Start right now by downloading the map here.
Jurassic Steel
by Cyclone Designs
Imagine a mysterious world inhabited by mechanical prehistoric creatures. These beings, known as Dinobots, can be either friendly or hostile depending on the situation. Some simply want to tear you apart, like the gigantic and terrifying robot dinosaur T-Rex. Your mission is to defeat and then tame it.
The question remains: does Oscar love dinosaurs as much as he loves parkour, and does he adore robots as much as his coffee? Or is it merely a chaotic fusion of two beloved pop culture genres? What do you think, Oscar?
“Dinosaurs and robots. Each would be enough for any cultured individual with good taste to lose their marbles over excitement. Combining them results in such a marble shortage that it could lead to the economic collapse of modern society. My favorite feature is the different microchips you can use to command the Dinobots in your Dinobot squad. The R.A.S.K chip gives you a personal bodyguard. The T.A.M.E chip integrates into Dinobots allowing you to ride off into the sunset (or run away from it). And the SERVICE chip turns a Dinobot into a butler performing various odd jobs based on the model. This map has robots, dinosaurs, and plenty of cool features. Why am I writing this when I could be playing on the new Minecraft Pocket Edition map?” – Oscar.
Great question! I’ve been pondering that for years. Tame your robot dinosaur and equip it with your favorite chip by clicking this link.
Crazy City
by Everbloom Studios
The title of this map speaks for itself – it’s crazy. But beyond that, it’s vibrant and filled with unique characters that turn everything upside down. You play as a postal worker (well, something like that), tasked with daily absurd interactions with ten animals scattered throughout the city. Besides delivering packages to them, you also need to fulfill their requests. As a kind-hearted person, why not take some time to help these silly, nonsensical creatures dressed in human clothing, who happen to have distinct voices and personalities?
“Crazy City” brought Oscar to tears!
“Sometimes we come across maps that truly feel like they carry a piece of the creator’s heart. This time, there’s a whole crew of colorful characters working as delivery people while completing customer quests. They are all quite strange and unlike one another, but overall they get along well with you and accept you as you are, even if you act foolishly. Although the titular city is labeled as mad, the characters are treated with respect and aren’t mocked – they’re just uniquely themselves, and that’s wonderful. At the end of the game, everyone gathers for a celebration, and that moment moved me to tears. Let me keep up the tough guy image a little longer,” – Oscar.
