However, lilacs might not actually be pink; they are likely purple since their primary role in Minecraft is to produce purple dye. The pink dye comes from peonies and pink tulips, but if you ask me which of these flowers truly embodies the color pink, I would say it’s the lilac! So consider the shades of colors in your game, developers! Lilacs were introduced in Minecraft version Java 1.7.2 along with other flowers: tulips, daisies, oxeye daisies, and blue cornflowers. However, there are also other varieties that feature white, pale yellow, pink, and even dark purple blooms. They grow in large clusters, emitting a rather strong fragrance, especially noticeable in mid-spring to early summer.

Interestingly, lilac is one of the rarest tree species found in Europe. Despite this, it is still utilized for its wood in the crafting of musical instruments. Additionally, lilac serves as the official flower of New Hampshire (an English colony in North America).
