Today, we will be crafting extraordinary pools in the Minecraft universe!
Pools can certainly vary in shape, size, and depth, but our focus will be on something else—design. We will transform them into true works of art. Are you ready to become the Picasso of pools? We’ll dive deep into these dazzling creations in no time!
Let’s start with the basics. If you’ve never built a pool before, just follow the instructions.
- Gather all your materials. It doesn’t matter what you have; feel free to use anything at your disposal. The only essential items needed for pool construction are buckets, which will be used to transport water into the completed pool.
- Mark out the area by placing blocks around the perimeter of the future pool. This will help you accurately determine the dimensions and shapes.
- Dug a hole within the previously outlined block framework. A depth of two blocks should suffice.
- Fill the bottom layer with blocks of various colors. Here, you have complete creative freedom! You can even create three-dimensional structures instead of just two-dimensional ones.
- Fill the pool with water, or invite a friend over and watch as they do all the work for you.

You can dig a hole and start from scratch, or if you already have an existing pool, why not use it as your foundation? Next, you’ll need to decide on the pattern and overall design of the pool. It’s advisable to begin with something simple. For instance, create a design using basic elements and materials. Additionally, building isn’t limited to just colors and patterns; consider experimenting with the shape of the pool as well. Once you feel comfortable with shapes and colors, try incorporating some pixel art into the bottom of the pool. Pixel art is closely associated with Minecraft due to its simplicity and low-resolution images. Crafting pixel graphics can be quite challenging, but there are various programs available that allow for the creation of pixel images of any complexity. And of course, the classic graph paper method is still a viable option. Sketch everything you wish to include in your pool’s design, and you’re all set!
In truth, pixel art in Minecraft Bedrock is predominantly oriented vertically. However, working with horizontal designs offers certain advantages. Firstly, you gain a better view of your surroundings, allowing for quick reactions and defense if needed, such as during a creeper attack. Secondly, depending on your design choices, building horizontally can often be simpler and more convenient.
