MINECON LIVE 2019 Highlights

On June 27, the key annual event for Minecraft, known as MINECON Live, took place. A plethora of projects, news, and updates were announced. If you missed the live stream, we’re here to fill you in on all the details!

Biome Update

Following a user vote among players of Minecraft Bedrock, mountains received the highest number of votes for a biome update! This indicates that we will soon witness a significant overhaul of this much-needed biome!

Minecraft Earth

The most anticipated event of this year: the release of Minecraft Earth! Starting in October, the new game will be launched across all countries worldwide. According to the developers, by the end of 2019, anyone interested will be able to download it on their device.

Minecraft Dungeons

Just a year after the announcement of the new game Minecraft Dungeons, we are reminded of it once again. There’s no need for further commentary, so simply enjoy this stunning trailer:

Minecraft Festival

The very first Minecraft gaming festival will take place from September 25 to 27, 2020, in Orlando, Florida!

Attendees can look forward to themed events, meet-and-greets with developers from Mojang and three amazing days spent with fellow enthusiasts.

Minecraft: Builders & Biomes

Another title from Mojang: “Minecraft: Builders & Biomes“. This time, we are diving into a tabletop experience rather than a virtual one! Gather resources, create builds, and defeat mobs in the real world!

Honey Block and Bees

It’s time to replace the watermelon as the most delicious block! Taking its place is a new contender—honey! Where there’s honey, there must be bees, so these wonderful insects will join in too! This will be available on all platforms, including Java.

New Features

The vanilla version of Minecraft will introduce a new tool—a editor. With this, players can modify animations, particle effects, and add their own rendering effects.

Realms Plus

The Realms maps serve as a gathering place for players to engage in online realms. Previously, when subscribing to the service, players could enjoy gameplay on one map with up to 10 participants. Now, in addition to that feature, players will receive 50 content pieces from the Marketplace!

Character Creation

If you have read the article, you are already aware of what we will discuss next. A character creation feature is set to launch soon across all major platforms of Minecraft.
