Delightful Lands

It is often said that the journey matters more than the destination. While this holds a tragic truth when we rush past a sunny meadow to reach the dentist, today we present a creation that beautifully merges both travel and destination in Minecraft Pocket Edition. Sure, you could quickly skip to the screenshots of “Aseroth City – Part One” until you arrive at the main palace, but why would you want to do that when you can admire the charming windmills and picturesque landscapes surrounding it?

Created by Riddheh and Mirasa, two skilled builders inspired by the works of J.R.R Tolkien, “Aseroth” showcases vibrant colors and British countryside aesthetics. But how did they come up with the name for these lands?

“We spent some time trying to decide on a good name for our city, mainly using elvish name generators online,” Riddheh explains. “The final name came about when Mirasa forgot the original one we had chosen, and we had to come up with something on the spot just seconds before posting it online.”

“I drew inspiration primarily from the elven cities in ‘The Lord of the Rings’,” says Riddheh, referring to grand castles and serene villages. “Elves have always been my favorite, and Aseroth is populated by many elves.” Of course, in Minecraft PE, there are no elves, so these homes will likely be occupied by creepers and spiders instead.

Building an elven city based on Tolkien’s words was indeed a monumental task, but mere mortals Riddheh and Mirasa managed it skillfully, placing their favorite building elements into MCPE.

“My favorite structure is definitely the elven palace,” Riddheh shares. “That’s why I put a lot of effort into this project; I really enjoy building palaces. However, I also loved designing the small houses where the elves live.”

As for Mirasa, she preferred constructing the areas around the palace in Minecraft PE. “Personally, I enjoyed creating the terrain. It was quite a challenge to design and spend many hours shaping the landscape with fillers while experimenting with color themes, but ultimately we settled on a realistically striped rocky appearance that we were very pleased with.”

Riddheh has been playing Minecraft PE for quite some time now. “Creative servers have always been my favorite. The staff on those servers noticed my builds and asked me to create content for their servers, which gradually led me to become a builder on several different servers.”

Mirasa followed a similar path, collaborating with teams on other servers to practice and learn from more experienced builders.

Eventually, the two joined forces like Legolas and Gimli or Sam and potatoes, forming an excellent team as Riddheh and Mirasa.

“Riddheh and I were highly regarded on the creative building server,” Mirasa states. “We started communicating through messages, then shared our private projects and helped each other with minor design issues we encountered. Riddheh built the base of a large palace in Azeroth and showed it to me, and I suggested doing some work on creating trees for the surrounding lands. The idea struck me that we could have a larger city at war with another city, and from there, other ideas flowed.”
