Any kind of relationship can be complex, including friendship. It requires remembering the other person’s birthday and putting in effort to maintain strong bonds. While this may not always be easy, it is certainly worthwhile. Sometimes, understanding each other, meeting expectations, and finding common ground can be challenging. Fortunately for you, I am skilled at interpreting psychological cues. Well, at least that works with Minecraft.
The key to friendship lies in thoughtful gestures, particularly gifts. Who could resist a beautiful bouquet of flowers? These charming little pixelated arrangements bring a burst of joy to any screen. But how do you figure out which flowers someone likes? Fear not, my dear students of human and pixel friendships, let me guide you!
Daisy
A bouquet of daisies expresses the sentiment “You mean a lot to me, my friend” better than anything else. In Minecraft, you can acquire these flowers without spending a dime. You could even take them from your neighbor’s garden, just like in real life. Are daisies charming? Absolutely. Do they require much effort? Not at all. But aren’t the best friendships those where simplicity and ease reign, where material possessions don’t define your bond? Agree with this, or we might not be friends anymore.
Present a daisy to someone you’re still uncertain about. Nothing conveys the message, “I might want to be your friend in the future, but I can’t decide right now,” quite like a daisy.
Lily of the Valley
Lily of the Valley is one of my favorite flowers because they are incredibly adorable! However, just like their real-world counterparts, they are also highly toxic! Yes, even a single nibble of this beautiful flower can leave you feeling its poisonous effects. The Lily of the Valley embodies everything you’ve ever desired—beauty, elegance, and the ability to literally stop someone’s heart!
Present a lily of the valley to your foe. It may appear quite charming, but this is merely a facade for true malevolence. One could say that gifting a lily of the valley conveys the message: “I will cast you straight into the portal of doom if you dare to touch my belongings!”
Blue Orchid
Blue orchids are among the most distinctive flowers found in Minecraft Pocket Edition, as they can only be located in swamp biomes. Their vibrant blue petals set them apart from all other flora. In reality, blue orchids are also quite rare and valuable. I believe that searching for the perfect shade of blue orchid in the game is a far more impressive endeavor than spending money on frivolous floral gifts.
Present a blue orchid to someone residing in the swamp. They have made a brave, I would even say, fascinating choice to live in such an environment, while you come along and take their flowers. That’s not right.
Poppy
Poppies are charming little red flowers that can be found throughout the Overworld. The most significant fact about poppies is that they serve as the flower of the Iron Golem. Yes, the mighty Iron Golem offers poppies to the villagers he has vowed to protect. What? No, I’m not crying; I just have an allergy to kindness.
Gift a poppy to the Iron Golem! He truly deserves it!
Withered Rose
The withered rose is the most challenging flower in Minecraft Bedrock. First, you need to summon decay. Only after the screaming demon with three furious heads eliminates nearby mobs—similar to the killing demon—will there be a chance for one of those unfortunate creatures to spawn a withered rose. This is how these charming flowers come into existence through death and brutality. Well, enjoy it, my friends.
Gift a withered rose and boast about surviving its attack!
Dandelion
The dandelion is one of the simplest flowers found both in Minecraft Pocket Edition and in the real world. Although often regarded as a weed, dandelions are edible and feature in various dishes and herbal remedies! Consuming dandelions in the game provides a saturation effect, reducing the need to search for or cook food. In a pinch, they can serve as a snack until you find more substantial nourishment. However, I wouldn’t advise trying this in real life. Firstly, they have a very bitter taste, and secondly, passersby might think something is off with you and give you strange looks.
Give a dandelion to that friend who always visits your place, heads straight for the fridge, and devours everything in sight. It will be a hint they are unlikely to grasp.
Sunflower
The sunflower is the only flower that boasts its own biome in Minecraft—the Sunflower Plains. While you might spot tulips in this biome, we’re not changing the name because of that. Such is the power of the sunflower here. Another interesting tidbit about sunflowers in the game is that they always face east, towards the rising sun! So if you find yourself having fallen from a great height, with your compass lost at the bottom of a ravine, and too exhausted to retrieve it, just look to the sunflowers to guide you home.
Give a sunflower to a friend who often gets lost. Just make sure to explain how to use it beforehand.
