DraGonnet will showcase an impeccable urban environment!

We have presented numerous modern architectural projects in Minecraft Pocket Edition, and we were quite anxious that this time everything might blend together! Fortunately, we had the opportunity to interview one of the advocates for contemporary architecture.

“Modern architecture is characterized by its uniformity and a very limited palette of colors,” notes DraGonnet. This was one of the motivations behind creating his own city, Ender, which is filled with stunning glass buildings, features many water bodies, and boasts an abundance of greenery that can only be appreciated by the eye.

The inspiration for our builder came from the works of renowned architect Vincent Callebaut, who placed significant emphasis on the ecological aspects of designs. DraGonnet is particularly fond of the concept of “living” cities brimming with plants and energy sources. He draws motivation from various futuristic projects, contrasting them with simpler modern architecture.

DraGonnet found immense courage in crafting curved lines within Minecraft PE—a game where nothing exists but cubes. However, our artist fully utilized his talent and all available options; no structure in his creation resembles another, and none are square! A crucial aspect is the attention to detail: fluttering flags, coffee cups in homes, bookshelves, and houseplants create a sense of life within the city.

“The entire project took about 3 or 4 months, during which I spent around 360 hours on the server,” shares the creator.

His favorite parts of the project include the Senate and a standard office building.

“You can see that these are two completely different structures, both in design and purpose. The Senate was designed in the shape of a droplet, harmonizing beautifully with the rivers and lakes on the map. The lower sections of the Senate feature leaf-like designs, contributing to a unique backdrop and enhancing the theme of sustainability. It appears as if a seed is sprouting directly from the ground. The author believes this combination fits perfectly into the project’s theme for Minecraft PE.

Next door stands a triangular-shaped office building. “This posed a significant challenge since there was very little space for the structure, and maintaining three corners seemed impossible. Luckily, I managed to overcome this issue,” explains the developer.

Another distinctive feature of the project is the vegetation growing directly from the roofs and balconies of the buildings! This not only adds thematic depth but also serves as beautiful decoration. Such shrubs provide lovely splashes of yellow and red amidst the greenery and blue tones of the structures.

It all began when I constructed my special building. Then I realized the terrain was too flat, so I decided to liven it up with cliffs, vineyards, and gardens. Suddenly, inspiration struck me, prompting me to continue adding constructions around the initial structure.

But the author’s ideas don’t stop here. He plans to build even more towers in the city center and work on residential areas. The city will be located at the heart of a large island, surrounded by the sea. This idea came to him after gathering information about Atlantis. Well, let’s hope our town doesn’t meet the same unfortunate fate as the ancient world!

“There will also be tubes for transportation throughout the city. Futuristic ships will be added, likely serving as a conclusion to the map and bringing a sense of life. In the end, I will put considerable effort into incorporating Easter eggs. People love that, and I hope they find everything I’ve prepared for them.”
