This stunning creation is the work of master builder Haru. Named “Crane Travel,” it features clusters of buildings inspired by historical designs from across Asia, seamlessly attached to rocky coastal cliffs like limousines. Passages stretch between islands, while a grand palace with green roofs adorned with colorful drapes towers over other homes. Above, sailing ships soar gracefully through the air as a flock of giant cranes glides overhead.
This extraordinarily beautiful structure was crafted by Antrelial, showcasing an impressive blend of meticulously realized architecture and geography alongside breathtaking fantastical elements.
“Whenever I build, I incorporate 70% realistic elements and 30% unrealistic ones,” says Haru. Initially, there needs to be something solid and trustworthy to ground the viewer in the reality of the world before he begins to construct more whimsical aspects around it. With this balance of real and unreal, “the overall appearance of the build will improve. If I add too many unrealistic elements, my construction will appear unnatural and awkward.”
How did Haru begin constructing such intricate designs? Did he sketch them out first?
“In my case, I didn’t draw at all,” Haru explains. “My building preparation process relies solely on my imagination. The reason I don’t create initial sketches is that I see the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition as my personal canvas, where every block represents different colors. I use my imagination to build whatever comes to mind directly in MCPE. In those moments, I feel the full beauty of MCPE.
Each construction embodies a personal challenge to enhance what exists and create something new, according to Haru. – To push creative boundaries and overcome internal struggles, ultimately becoming an artist. However, such ambition can sometimes feel exhausting, leading Haru into creative blocks. “If I run out of ideas for building, I need some time off—just a few days—and then I’ll return to building.”
What can we expect from Haru in the future? “I will work hard to develop the Korean Minecraft community in the coming year.” There will be constructions that are already prepared. It’s very enticing!
