It is often said that when you’re having fun, time flies by much faster. This explains why last month zoomed past like a zombie jockey on a chicken being chased by a fox. We simply spent too much time enjoying ourselves and entertaining! In the previous month, a whopping 122 maps were added to Marketcraft Minecraft. It seems our amazing content creators hardly had any downtime.
Navigating through such a vast number of maps to find the most interesting ones can be quite challenging. That’s why once a month, we reach out to our fellow developers from Minecraft Bedrock to ask about their favorites and gather their thoughts on the updates. This isn’t just because we love assisting you, dear readers; it’s also because we enjoy giving extra work to dedicated individuals like Matthew “Mish” Dryden and Oscar Tizel – the passionate hearts of the content team.
So, what made it to the February top list according to these two experts?
Shopping Time!
by Cyclone Designs
Have you ever thought about heading to the store in Minecraft Pocket Edition and spending all your emeralds on luxurious items that are unattainable in real life? It sounds tempting. How about purchasing an exotic pet, a fancy car, a couple of trendy bikes from renowned brands, or perhaps a grand fleet of luxury yachts? “Shopping Time!” is here to fulfill your desires, catering to the shopaholic within you who craves new acquisitions! You can decorate your home and garden with any items purchasable for emeralds. If you’re not keen on viewing a pre-made area, feel free to create your own and design it as you wish! Spending is the name of the game! Oh wait, the actual title is “Shopping Time.” My bad.
For this map, we asked Oscar, the chief gem keeper, to spend every emerald he possesses. Of course, purely for educational and work-related purposes.
“It’s shopping time!” Let me bring my wildest consumer dreams to life digitally. I can leave my super-ego behind and indulge in shopping without feeling a shred of guilt for deriving happiness from material possessions. In the city of Mineopolis, the only rule is to survive and thrive, which translates into Minecraft: convert everything into Emeralds, then buy all the cars, pets, and designer wallets you can handle! As former mayor Richie used to say: “Always remember to stay rich!”, – Oscar.
Oh dear. I thought he said I should “stay poor as a church mouse.” Looks like I’ll have to start saving emeralds again. You can find “Shopping Time!” on its dedicated Marketplace page.
Advanced Farming
by Gamemode One
When players embark on creating their own farm, they often find themselves overwhelmed with the care of animals, harvesting crops, and other agricultural tasks. Apparently, Gamemode One grew tired of this struggle and decided to develop “Advanced Farming” – a cutting-edge farming experience! Here, you won’t need to rush around the map frantically trying to keep up with everything. Just sit back, enjoy the game, and build your very own farm using all the necessary equipment that will assist you in gathering your harvest. Become a farmer, establish your business, and earn as much as possible!
The game provides everything needed for your enjoyment. A variety of machines with different functionalities, vehicles, farm animals, adorable pets, vendors – play and relish the immersive farming atmosphere! Additionally, various characters roam the map tending to the land, pleasant music plays in the background, and occasionally mysterious sounds can be heard, leaving you with no valid reason to sing EIEIO during gameplay (seriously, if I catch you singing that annoyingly catchy tune, you’ll be sleeping outside).
We asked Moishe about this map, and here’s what he had to say.
“Hey! I’m busy right now, so let me quickly give you this review. The gist is: this map is a masterpiece, but I wasn’t fond of the barn. Transition from barely surviving wheat to vast fields of wheat, carrots, and potatoes! With this map, you’ll forget about cities and urban life. I’ve run out of mushrooms to make funny puns. I found my inner pea on this map.
Agriculture.
This is what I said about agriculture,” – Moishe.
Moishe truly deserves recognition for his farming puns. We could add him to a list and award him for the most jokes in a single farming review in Minecraft Bedrock, but instead, we simply recommend downloading and exploring the “Advanced Farming” map.
Babylon
by Blockworks
Babylon is a monumental survival experience crafted by Blockworks, inviting you to explore the wonders of this ancient city from both ground level and above. The city is filled with countless hidden treasures waiting for those who are keen enough to wander its streets and investigate every nook and cranny. If treasure hunting isn’t your thing, you can simply take a hot air balloon ride and enjoy breathtaking views over the rooftops of this historic metropolis.
After purchasing a hot air balloon with his last emeralds, Oscar ascended high into the sky. Now, he’s eager to share his feelings and thoughts about this map with us.
“I’m a guy who enjoys a good spawn in survival mode of Minecraft, just like everyone else. Elegance matters a lot to me, and if you have a sense of atmosphere that you can weave into your builds – it’s truly valuable. Here we have a fantastic theme – the ancient city of Babylon with its grand architectural marvels adorned with vibrant foliage serving as the main entrance.
I felt transported back in time, landing in a long-lost civilization where the construction of homes began. The extra effort put into various areas makes this feel more like a world than just an exhibition – there’s a giant statue in the garden overlooking residential spaces with simple yet tidy houses scattered along small pathways decorated with miniature trees.
If you think I’m trying to sell you real estate in Minecraft Bedrock, all I can say is: “I wish I could!” – Oscar.
With such an enchanting description, Oscar could probably sell my house too. I happen to have a little crooked hut made of mud; would you help me out? So, are you ready to venture into the ancient city and discover its wonders for yourself?
