On May 22, 2019, a new beta version of Minecraft 1.12.0.6 was released for Android, featuring optimizations, bug fixes, and adjustments to mob behavior. Additionally, there were some updates in Minecraft 1.12 that cater to those who enjoy creating maps and add-ons. Article navigation:

Updates for map and add-on creators in Minecraft 1.12.0.6

• The “byte order mark” has been removed from the beginning of functional files, if present
• The generateDocumentation function in ScriptHotbarContainerComponent has been updated to indicate that it checks the first slot of the player’s hotbar instead of the third.

Bug Fixes and Optimization in Minecraft 1.12.0.6

As always, the developers primarily focused on addressing crashes in Minecraft, fixing over a dozen related bugs! In addition, many other issues have been resolved in version 1.12.0.6:

• Performance around villages in Minecraft 1.12.0.6 has been enhanced.
• The memory required for loading textures has been reduced.
• Custom skins are now applied correctly without needing to restart MCPE.
• The “Invite to Game” button is no longer active on third-party servers.
• Skins are retained when switching between devices.
• The “Iron Belly” achievement can be unlocked again.
• Acacia planks can once again be processed correctly in Minecraft 1.12.0.6 on Android.
• Players now consistently receive items upon completing trades with village villagers while using a controller.
• Using Pickblock on sweet berry bushes now provides the correct item in Minecraft 1.12.0.6.
• Bone meal is now consumed correctly when used on grass.
• Paintings can now be crafted using dyed wool in Minecraft.
• Cactus blocks at various growth stages can once again be smelted into green dye.
• The issue with missing button icons in the “How to Play” section on Nintendo Switch has been resolved.
• A fix has been reinstated to ensure that old trades function as they did previously.
• The texture for the Illager Captain banner has been updated.
• A minor error in the UV texture of the Bell has been corrected.
• The /testforblock command now reliably works with items renamed in language files.

Mob Fixes in Version 1.12.0.6

• A bug affecting the head positions of cats and villagers while sleeping and sitting has been fixed.
• Tamed cats no longer slide when they are lying down.
   
• Villagers without professions now adhere to a regular schedule.
• The parrot’s legs are now properly aligned during flight.
• The vine model has been corrected on certain market maps.
• Custom underwater mobs can now spawn naturally.
