After spending 27 blissful years with my parents, they unexpectedly decided to kick me out of the house, claiming it was time for me to “find my own path in life,” while they wanted to “relax in their home and live for themselves.” Well, I didn’t let it get me down and simply chose a new place to call home—the Nether Minecraft!
Since this is quite a perilous location, I hired a real estate agent from the Nether—Barbara. Apparently, homes are selected based on several criteria: size, biome, and survival chances in that area. There’s no turning back for me now, as my parents have already converted my room into a gym!
First Home
Barbara and I met near a coastal house. I’ve always dreamed of living in such a spot, so I’ll overlook the fact that wooden railings are the only thing standing between me and the churning sea of doom. “This place is perfect for players who prioritize the view from their windows and the surrounding environment. The house has a solid foundation and glowing stone pillars. All materials used were sourced right here! There are mushrooms growing nearby that you’ll need for sustenance. And the neighbors are quite… friendly,” Barbara explains. — It’s a very lively neighborhood. You can even trade with the locals. Of course, there will occasionally be ghasts and magma cubes showing up, but what neighborhood doesn’t have its share of troublemakers?
— What’s the price of the house?
— The current owners are eager to sell, so they’re letting it go for 2 million emeralds.
— I’ve saved up 200.
— …Let’s check out some rental properties instead.
The Twisted Forest
Our next destination was a dense blue forest. It’s quite nice, stylish, and has a unique atmosphere.
— We’ve arrived.
— Is this a cave house?
— With your budget, I had to opt for more… unconventional choices. But don’t worry, this home has its perks: it’s located in the safest area of the Nether. The most common visitor here is an ordinary Enderman. Before entering the house, I considered mentioning my intense fear of enclosed spaces, but Barbara quickly interrupted me: “This cozy woodland retreat is perfect for young individuals looking to settle down in the Nether within Minecraft Bedrock. The surrounding forest is rich in resources, including mushrooms, weeping vines, warped roots, and fungi. We have many other players vying for this spot, so you might want to…”
Crimson Forest
We have returned to the woods once again. Barbara seems to be in high spirits. I chose not to dwell on how we ended up here or what happened to my golden necklace. After some challenges, we managed to climb a tree, and I spotted a little house. Well, a mushroom house. — Barbara, you do realize that I’m already quite grown-up?
— Don’t rush to conclusions. This charming crimson cottage is perfect for exploration; moreover, no unwanted visitor will sneak into your home, at least in 8 out of 10 cases. It’s a lush area where you can gather mushrooms, stems, and even hunt for holglins.
— Is it possible to install a bathroom there?
— Most likely, no.
The Valley of Soul Sand
Considering that I fainted while in the cave house, I’m somewhat surprised Barbara brought me here. This place not only looks frightening, but it also sounded terrifying!
— Why are there bones everywhere?
— Trust me, you’ll get used to it…*BOOM*
I suddenly jolted awake from a loud scream.
— What happened?!
— I saw you with that lady piglin and shot at him with a fire charge, but apparently underestimated the blast radius.
— That was Barbara, the real estate agent.
— So, that’s why she didn’t answer my calls. In that case, justice has been served. I’m sure she has a lifeline for revival. Actually, I was chasing after Zoglin and stumbled upon this cottage. It even has a bathtub!
— Is there another bedroom there?
…
Thus, we became roommates with my new friend. Living here is relatively comfortable, as long as you avoid the Ghasts. Occasionally, we encounter skeletons, but I don’t leave the house often enough for those meetings to become an issue. Should one live in the Nether of Minecraft? I might be a bit biased since my friend’s stewed mushrooms are absolutely divine, and I’ve also learned how to make bath bombs from crimson roots. Getting used to the new landscapes, I found them majestic and charming, though not like in the Overworld; it’s something unique and unparalleled. In any case, a tour of the sights will appeal even to the most timid players!
