Yes, we are revisiting maps once again! Every few weeks, the community showcases creations from Minecraft by some of the most talented and renowned map creators, which we then feature on Realms for Minecraft: Java Edition. It’s always a surprise to see what will be submitted for inclusion in Realms: whether it’s an expansive adventure, a fresh take on the “Complete the Monument” genre, or a team-based mini-game. However, I’m still waiting for someone to send in an amazing river mountain journey through jungles in Minecraft PE.
This week, we have three new mini-games for Minecraft! The first is a fast-paced sprint set in a perilous city, the second is an arcade-style dodging game where you can play as a llama, and the third map challenges players to achieve total destruction within a small area. Let’s dive into the maps!
Destruction in the Business District
The first thing you’ll notice is that this map has a distinctive look in Minecraft. It features a sort of gray, gloomy city where the roads and buildings seem nonsensical! But don’t worry, because this is a special arena designed for chaotic weaponry battles. According to Vilder50, the unique artistic style of this map originated when their team created a prototype game involving players darting around a stone city with instant bow shots. The idea of sneaking up on enemies for elimination was quite dark, so they made the entire map somber!
The more players you add to your Minecraft game, the larger the playable area becomes. With the ability to choose elements in each round and select between various game modes, you and your friends will have countless ways to customize your gameplay.
Dodge
Dodge is a simple mini-game for Minecraft that utilizes your character’s movement to control a little zombie, villager, or charming llama, avoiding falling anvils while collecting bonuses.
Bombathon
Are you the kind of Minecraft player who loves blowing everything up, including other players? Are you one of those players who goes crazy over destroying their own creations? Wouldn’t it be great if you could demolish things in Minecraft all day without losing friends? We have just the mini-game for you!
In Bombathon, players use TNT blocks to obliterate various structures. Each player receives something to destroy along with their own gaming space. Now, demolition enthusiasts can coexist in a world filled with harmony and explosions.
Better Together
We hope you enjoy and try out each of the featured maps. There’s a whole library of fantastic content available for you to explore and launch in your Realm that you can share with friends. Friends make every creation better, except for those meant for single-player. If you haven’t played Minecraft Realms yet, you definitely should give it a go!
