Minecraft Bedrock Update

Hey, be careful where you’re pointing that crossbow! Like many others, I’m feeling quite anxious because today the crossbow is making its debut in Minecraft along with three new enchantments. But right now, I just want to finish this article and stay safe; I’m particularly worried about my lovely hair—what if those arrows cause some trouble?

However, the crossbow isn’t the highlight of this update. That honor goes to the lantern, which will surely brighten your life! Additionally, a loom and an lectern (a tall table for reading while standing) have been introduced. These items are bound to be useful for crafting enthusiasts and avid readers alike.

Don’t mind me wandering among bookshelves and medieval weaponry; it’s time to share the most exciting, long-awaited feature of this entire update! What everyone has been eagerly anticipating has finally arrived in Minecraft Bedrock! Introducing Jelly, the charming cat who received overwhelming support from players! Jelly, take a bow!
Minecraft Bedrock Update
Wait a minute, can cats actually bow? Just look at him trying his best to do it!

Hmm, I’ve been thinking, while cats are adorable, there’s something even more practical—shields! With just 1 iron ingot and 6 wooden planks, you can protect yourself from various hostile mobs (and other players too).

Shields will also be incredibly helpful when facing off against the new hostile mob, the Pillager (maybe they should be considered the stars of this update? Absolutely not, they’re dreadful!). I won’t scare you prematurely since they’ll only appear in creative mode for now. But that doesn’t mean you can completely escape these annoying creatures. I suggest you start practicing using shields right away. Hopefully, it’ll come in handy…

Be aware that there is currently a bug affecting HD texture packs on mobile devices. Using these texture packs may lead to game crashes. Until developers fix this issue, we recommend avoiding HD texture packs in Minecraft Pocket Edition and waiting a bit longer. We hope the issues will be resolved soon so you can continue playing.

This update is already available on Xbox One, Windows 10 Edition, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, so download it quickly and try out the new items. Good luck!
