Have you ever tried playing on Minecraft servers? Players of the Java edition are much more familiar with them, but until now only Mineplex, Lifeboat Network, and InPVP – Nova Space Station were accessible in the new version of Minecraft (on Win 10, Xbox One, and mobile), and today CubeCraft joins their ranks!
CubeCraft may be known to the most seasoned players of Minecraft. This server pioneered popular multiplayer games like SkyWars, and we are excited that they have brought their offerings to younger audiences of Minecraft!
I asked John Coles, CEO of Digital Tree Media (the owners of CubeCraft), to share a bit more about the server:
TOM: Tell us about CubeCraft!
JOHN: CubeCraft is an amazing community and team of Minecraft players. We’ve been playing Java Edition since its early days (some even back in Alpha), and we’re always looking for creative ways to enhance the game.
We focus heavily on player experience and work incredibly hard to ensure that users have access to high-quality, well-crafted, and fun mini-games. Currently, on Java, we offer around 50 different game modes and over 250 unique maps for players. We plan to develop new projects on our Bedrock server alongside classic games that we know: EggWars, SkyWars, and Survival Games.
TOM: How long have you been working on the server? What do you think sets you apart from others?
JOHN: We opened our virtual doors in 2012 and have been online ever since. Our focus has always been on player experience. We constantly strive to improve gameplay and make it as positive as possible. The player experience drives all our major decisions. That’s one reason we attend real-life events so that players who might not have heard of CubeCraft or Minecraft (though such people are becoming rare) can enjoy an awesome mini-game against their friends!
TOM: What can players expect when they join your server?
JOHN: We hope they will love everything we have to offer. Much of what we’ve built since 2012 will come to CubeCraft Bedrock with many of our features available at launch. Features like “Groups” and “Friends” make it easier to play with friends. We’re also excited to see how players react to some of the new games and ideas we’re testing out for release!
TOM: What future plans do you have for the server?
JOHN: Plenty of plans! From exciting loot to entirely new game concepts and some reimagined existing ideas. We have a lot in store to keep you engaged.
TOM: I like you! Oh, the interview is over. So if you’re playing Minecraft on Windows 10, Mobile, or Xbox One, go check out the CubeCraft server!
