Beautiful castles

Each of us has specific expectations when it comes to castles. Regardless of whether a castle is a crumbling relic or an impressive, pristine structure, they always evoke memories of ancient times. Castles seem to have emerged from the pages of childhood storybooks, imbued with a touch of magic and mystery!

The builder Minecraft Pocket Edition, whom we will discuss today – Sabina, has constructed four distinct castles in just three years, and certainly, they are far from falling apart. Each castle represents the pinnacle of detail: from libraries to fireplaces, these elements create an unparalleled coziness that emanates from the castle. It hardly feels like these are ancient buildings unfit for habitation.




“My inspiration often comes from diverse landscapes,” Sabina shares. “Most of my projects begin with me flying around the world, discovering beautiful locations that later become the foundation of my creations.” She explains that her goal was not to build all four castles at once; rather, she stumbled upon suitable terrains each time, which led to new projects. “For the third castle, I was inspired by the mountains that were eventually incorporated into it. The same happened with the fourth castle—I initially intended to construct a cathedral but found inspiration in the surrounding area.”

While working on her fourth castle, Sabina focused heavily on construction techniques: “I started by laying down the base layer of the building’s walls, then built the main framework, creating several structures of varying heights connected by towers. Once the shell of the building was complete, I could move on to the roofs. And although the building was essentially finished, the most crucial and tedious task remained—detailing,” Sabina recounts.

It’s easy to see how much effort and time went into detailing the castle. At every corner of the fortress, you can find small floral arrangements. The flower gardens and stained glass windows are particularly impressive—likely remnants of her initial idea for the cathedral.

Sabina takes particular pride in the back of the castle, which she claims she redesigned twice. “I’m very pleased with how it turned out,” she says. “Also, take note of the two square towers. They stand out significantly against everything else due to their extremely high level of detail.” The towers feature designs resembling arrows pointing towards their peaks, creating an illusion of great height.

She emphasizes the importance of using information about real-life castles to make your creations as realistic as possible: “I’ve always felt that my castles lacked some realism,” Sabina admits. “Therefore, studying other castles allowed me to incorporate unique elements that made my castles much more structured.”

So, should we expect even more castles? “Although I’ve been building castles for three years, I’m eager to embark on new projects. I have plans for constructing a ship, but I still want to finish my earlier work on the cathedral. I think the cathedral will be my next project in Minecraft PE,” Sabina asserts.

Naturally, it’s essential to explore new projects. Sabina’s experience with castles will undoubtedly serve as a solid foundation for her future creations!
