Building a house [Part 74][Minecraft PE Guides]

Welcome, visitor to PLANET-MCPE. In this series of tutorials, I will be gradually constructing a house while taking screenshots and detailing my steps. I believe this will be quite beneficial for beginners (and perhaps others too!). We will be building in Minecraft PE.

What did we cover in the previous part?

Now, let’s create a small yet intriguing mechanism at this location:

Let’s get started. We’ll place a sticky piston and sandstone blocks as follows:

On top of the piston block, we place a slime block. Now, let’s add a button to activate it:

We’ll make an opening in the roof above our slime block. Stand on the slime block, press the button, and you’ll reach the roof:

A bit of decoration for the mechanism would also be nice:

We’ll also create a small platform on top:

This mechanism pushes us onto the roof, effectively creating a “lift” that allows easy access up.
