Greetings, visitor of PLANET-MCPE. In this series of tutorials, I will be gradually constructing a house while taking screenshots and detailing my actions. I believe this will be quite beneficial for beginners (and perhaps others as well!). We will be building in Minecraft PE.
What did we cover in the previous part?
In the last guide, I mentioned lighting. Now, let’s set that up. Using lanterns, a block of redstone, and leaves, we can create some beautiful illumination:
Now, let’s finish the front wall:
Next, we’ll add another layer of smooth sandstone blocks:
Then, I might have made a questionable decision by creating the second floor’s flooring. (By the way, regarding the /fill command, it doesn’t work here because you cannot use it with smooth sandstone. Perhaps I’m missing something, but using block IDs is not allowed in this command; only names are accepted. Unfortunately, the name for smooth sandstone didn’t function. So, we’re doing everything manually). Why was making the floor a bad idea? It makes it somewhat inconvenient to build rooms on the first floor in creative mode. However, I don’t think it’s too much of an issue.
Let’s connect the second-floor flooring with the staircase like this:
Adding railings:
More lighting (yes, again. You can never have too much light—it’s nice to see):
Torches on the stairs (more light):
Today’s progress:
This concludes Part 6 of the construction. Stay tuned for new installments in the guides section or check out our special publication, which collects all guides from our site!
I look forward to your suggestions and ideas in the comments.
