An unresolved issue remains in the update: some players of Minecraft 1.6.0.8 on Android in the beta version may notice missing parts on player and mob models. This is expected to be fixed before the official release of Minecraft 1.6. Additionally, developers have made some improvements to the controls, making them smoother and faster.

Fixes in Minecraft 1.6.0.8 for Android

Crashes in Minecraft 1.6.0.8 have been resolved.
Cocoa beans are now displayed correctly when using HD texture packs.
The selected skin in Minecraft now saves again after exiting the game.
Sea turtles can once again lay eggs.
Blocks in survival mode have been fixed.
Equipment no longer disappears in Minecraft 1.6.0.8 on Android after a player’s death.
Hostile mobs on boats can no longer attack in all directions.
Levers now have a controller hint “Use”.
Players will no longer drown while swimming.
The screen no longer flickers in Minecraft Bedrock Edition during multiplayer gameplay.
Touchscreen controls have been improved in Minecraft 1.6.0.8.
Books can once again be placed in the inventory.
A bug for obtaining water has been fixed!
Blocks with the “can_place_on” tag can now be placed by players in Adventure mode in MCPE.
