In the beta version of Minecraft 1.17.20.22, the developers implemented significant alterations to the spawning of creatures, which can be observed by enabling experimental gameplay settings when creating a world. This adjustment aims to make exploring the depths less perilous.

Fixes in Minecraft PE 1.17.20.22

Monsters will now spawn in Minecraft BE exclusively in dark underground areas. Additionally, by placing artificial light sources, players can mine resources with relative safety. Furthermore, the Minecraft PE 1.17.20.22 update includes the following changes:

• Setting fire to an armor stand with items will not harm them, and they will drop as usual
• Some restrictions on phantom spawning have been implemented
• A bug related to axolotl generation has been fixed
• Improvements have been made to the generation of amethyst clusters
• Placing a torch next to powder snow will cause the block to melt
• The appearance of sea cucumbers has been altered when placed out of water
• A dispenser will now remove not only bubble columns but also the surrounding water

In Minecraft version 1.17.20.22 for Android, a variety of fixes have been implemented. Here are the most significant ones:

• Resolved issues with hints while riding
• Unwanted notifications no longer appear when loading maps with experimental settings
• Fixed the loss of textures on blocks pushed by pistons
• Corrected minor errors in the item creation menu
• Improved the textures of the enchanting table in MCBE
• Adjusted the growth of vines when trimmed with shears
• Nether portals now generate correctly
• Fixed crashes when holding certain blocks
• Corrected the interaction of bone meal on tuff blocks
