Three Temples in the Desert [0.13.x]

Temples that spawn in the desert were introduced in Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.13.0. These temples appear randomly across the world, much like villages. Inside each temple, you will have the chance to discover treasures similar to those found in villages. Typically, these treasures include diamonds, gold, iron, and other less valuable materials.

In this guide, we will demonstrate how to locate three amazing temples filled with treasures for you to claim.

At the spawn point, there is a swamp biome – you need to walk straight past it.

Soon, you should reach a forest on your right side. However, continue moving forward.

After a while, the forest will end, revealing a flat landscape ahead.

Once you’ve crossed the plains biome, swim across the river, then head into the forest and slightly veer to the right.

Continue following the river.

After a short stroll along the river, turn right and cross the sand dunes to reach the first temple.

If this is your first time entering a temple, be cautious – they can be dangerous! Traps are set up inside temples using pressure plates and TNT. Such traps are located beneath the temple where the treasures are stored.

Destroy the colored blocks in the center of the floor, then place blocks so you can safely descend into the lower part of the temple. You could also jump into the pit, but only if you avoid stepping on the pressure plate. It might hurt you quite a bit, taking away some health, but you’ll survive.

The four chests you find contain the following items:

• 14 gold ingots.
• 6 iron ingots
• 20 bones.
• 2 pieces of rotten flesh.

If you step on the pressure plate, here’s what would happen:

Now return to the entrance of the temple. To find the second temple, make sure you’re facing the direction shown in the image below and follow the river for a while.

When you reach the next area, you will need to turn left and cross the sand until you reach the second river.

Stay to the left side along the river.

After a while, you will see the second temple standing over the river, blocking its passage.

Inside the temple, you will find the following treasures:

• 5 diamonds.
• 6 gold ingots.
• 4 iron ingots.
• 14 bones.
• 4 pieces of rotten flesh.
