Minecraft Earth Beta Version

Since we celebrated the tenth anniversary of Minecraft, we’ve been bombarded with these three questions at an alarming rate:

  • When will we finally get to play Minecraft Earth?
  • Wait, how are we even going to play it?
  • Do we really have to stand next to an Enderman, like that girl in the trailer?! Please tell me that’s not true! His creepy purple eyes and heart-wrenching stare terrify us!!!

It’s understandable that if someone (and we have not just anyone, but millions of players) keeps asking the same questions repeatedly, a person is likely to lose their patience and respond. Today, we have three questions to tackle! So, I will be addressing all of them.

If you have already heard about how the new game operates on devices running iOS, you probably have a general idea of what it’s all about. To summarize briefly: you utilize augmented reality magic to project the enchanting world of Minecraft Pocket Edition into the real world. You can construct amazing builds, create astonishing items, and level up to increase the variety of materials available for your constructions. That’s essentially it.

No, that’s not everything? Alright, let’s give a shoutout to Minecraft for producing a fantastic video that perfectly showcases what the beta version of the new game is capable of. They even included actual moving footage from the mentioned beta (with the incredibly optimistic yet wonderfully educational voice of Stephen Scott from the Minecraft Earth development team as a fun bonus!)

So, let’s move on to the next (or perhaps previous) question: “When will we finally get to play?” If luck is on our side, this could happen within the next two weeks! That’s right, a limited number of players in select cities will be able to spend the rest of summer enjoying the new game!

  • The closed beta for iOS is set to launch within the next two weeks, followed shortly by a version for Android.
  •

  • As is typical with most closed betas, the number of participants will be limited both in terms of quantity and location. This approach ensures that servers can keep pace with all developments and prevents overloads. I hope it features a survival world!
  •

  • Similar to other beta versions, player progress may occasionally reset as developers test various features and updates.
  • If you have been selected to participate in the closed beta (congratulations!), you will receive an email invitation sent to the address linked to your Microsoft or Xbox Live account that you provided during registration.
  • Should you be chosen (once again, congratulations!), it is required that you play at least once a week. Failing to do so may result in your spot being given to someone else, as the number of places in the beta is limited and highly sought after.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Still not signed up for the beta? It’s not too late! Click this link and fill out the information to get a chance to play!Minecraft Earth Beta VersionIt seems I forgot something. Right! I still have one more question. Of course, you won’t have to stand next to that terrifying Enderman. He will simply exist within your Minecraft Earth app, which will be securely stored on your phone…which will be in your pocket. I feel like I’m making things worse. Well, don’t worry about him; he’s just a projection!
