The builder of Minecraft, known as TomatoN, seems to have long dreamed of residing in his own castle nestled in the mountains. His creations, “The Old Castle Shivering in the Wind” and “Castle Bathed in Morning Sunlight,” capture such an atmosphere that it feels as if he has truly been there, sketching castles from real life.

The author mentions that he doesn’t have a strict action plan, but at the core of everything lies the choice of a central feature. “It could be a curved roof or a pink window. I select this as my foundation and then continue working based on the chosen elements.”
In the Old Quivering Castle swaying in the wind, the focal point of the design became the roof. “I believe I’ve managed to create a new style of architecture that I’ve never encountered before.” He shared that his inspiration came from the tail of an animal. Indeed, we are surrounded by so many fascinating things that simple observation can spark new creations. “There are numerous aspects I’ve drawn from the world around me; some details were inspired by the works of other builders in Minecraft, various illustrations, and videos. I find something intriguing in everything around me, whether it’s musical instruments, stationery, or dishes.” Looking at his castles, one realizes that his approach truly works.
TomatoN began construction with a rough outline. “During the process of creating the outline, I adjust the height of the structure and also calculate spaces for additional features. Once this stage is complete, I can already envision how my assembly will look. Then I start defining clearer outlines for the castle, and this is where the trial-and-error method begins. I build and modify until I achieve the appearance of the castle that I envisioned in my mind.”
After settling on the shape, style, and other fundamental details of the castle, he gains a new template in his collection of ideas. He can use and combine his assemblies to create certain elements in future projects. “The techniques used in the Old Quivering Castle influenced my other works. This moment transformed all my creativity, prompting me to view building in Minecraft Bedrock from a fresh perspective.”
Adhering to the core concept does not prevent TomatoN from introducing fresh ideas. “Whenever I embark on a project, I strive to incorporate elements that set it apart from others. Variety and experimentation drive me forward and help expand my capabilities. New combinations, shapes, and tools ignite my passion for honing my skills and, of course, enhancing the quality of my builds.” 
For the past six months, TomatoN has been working on a new venture: “It’s a fusion of castle creation technologies I’ve developed over the years, steampunk aesthetics, and clock themes—areas I haven’t explored before. This time, I’m investing significantly more time than ever, but I’m confident it will be worth it!”
