There are builds that were originally created in Minecraft and later transformed into 3D artworks using various other software. If you wish to learn how to do the same, you’ll need the programs from our list today!
Mineways
This application enables users to create builds in Minecraft and export them to different games. You can utilize it to convert your maps into 3D models. Additionally, there is a feature that allows you to upload your creations to the platform for sharing 3D content—SketchFab.
Once you have installed Mineways, you will need to load your world into the program. After that, here’s what you should do: Drag the selected file into the program. Note that the free version has a limitation: the file size must not exceed 50MB. Once completed, you can publish your work on SketchFab. Click “Get your token” to obtain an access key. A website will open where you need to paste this key and click the upload button. Download the program from the official site.
Advanced Method: Chunky
Chunky is a more intricate and detailed application. It is designed for fine-tuning aspects such as light sources and similar features. Mastering Chunky will require significant time and effort, but the results are undoubtedly worth it.
Ensure that you have 64-bit Java installed, then proceed to install Chunky. Next, access the advanced settings and change the download server to “http://chunkyupdate2.llbit.se/“, making sure the “load snapshots” option is checked. If you have ample RAM, you can adjust the “memory limit” slider to higher values. Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll receive the latest version of the program upon updating.
Chunks are only compatible with Minecraft Java version 1.13; attempts to install it on other versions will not succeed.
Download Chunks from the official website.
The first step before starting is to rename the command “Default” to something else, or you risk losing all your creations.
Next, go to the top right corner where it says “edit world.” Here, you need to add your world and then follow these instructions: Right-click on the area you want to view, then select “place camera here.” If you left-click on the map, you’ll highlight a section. Additional clicks will expand the selection area. A left-click + shift selects an entire group. Scrolling the mouse wheel will adjust the zoom level. On the left tab, click the button to “load selected fragments.” A preview of the rendering should appear on the screen. In this mode, you can see how the build looks after you’ve worked on it. To return to editing, click the “map” tab. The resolution should be set to 400×400, and the bottom part of the window near the rendering controls (SPP) should be at 1000. To avoid dealing with these settings manually, simply check the box for “save snapshot for each part.” After completing these steps, press the green play button. The rendering will begin in the preview window. In Chunks, you can add covers or textures. You can also fix the character in the window and work on its body parts. Chunks are the secret behind all successful builds. The limitations in Chunks are determined solely by your device’s power and your patience!
