Recently, one of the developers of Minecraft announced that Minecraft 1.10 (the upcoming PC version) will feature polar bears. It is unlikely that polar bears will be included in Minecraft PE 0.15.0, but there is a possibility for future implementation!
Since we currently cannot enjoy polar bears in Minecraft Pocket Edition, we suggest you install the Polar Bears PE mod. The Polar Bears PE mod introduces polar bears into the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition, including both adult bears and cubs. The bears featured in the Polar Bears PE mod closely resemble the textures and characteristics of the bears presented by Mojang’s developers in Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

Taming a Polar Bear
Polar bears are typically found in snowy biomes. In our case, you can locate a polar bear near ice spikes or in flat snowy biomes. Only the small cubs (the young of the adult bears) can be tamed, and you can do this using bones.

If you attempt to approach a cub while an adult bear is nearby, there is a high chance that the adult will attack you. Generally, after being attacked by a bear, your chances of survival are slim unless you are a skilled runner on snowy terrain.
Adult bears usually have a neutral attitude towards you (not hostile) unless they have cubs nearby.
Hold a bone in your hand to attempt to tame the bear. By long-pressing the bone on the bear, click the “Tame” button several times until the cub is successfully tamed.
If you see heart particles above the cub, it means you have successfully tamed the little bear. After taming, you can give it commands to sit or stand, just like with a wolf. While it is sitting, it will not move, but once you lift it, it will follow you.
Installing Polar Bears PE:
- Download the mod.
- Launch BlockLauncher Pro.
- Click on the wrench icon.
- Go to “ModPE Script”.
- Enable mod support and click “Add”.
- Now, locate the downloaded mod in your device’s file system and click on it.
- The mod is installed; now install the texture!
Installing the Polar Bears PE Texture:
- Download the texture.
- Launch BlockLauncher Pro.
- Click on the wrench icon.
- Go to BlockLauncher Settings.
- Enable texture support.
- Go to Texture Packs and click Import.
- Now, locate the downloaded texture pack in your device’s file system and click on it.
- The mod and texture are installed; enjoy your game!
