Villager Companion

We present to you the mod “Villager Companion” for Minecraft Pocket Edition, which is among the top mods that introduce companions into your favorite game! This mod adds a total of 4 types of villagers, each with unique abilities that become available once you tame them. The most significant features of the companions in Minecraft Pocket Edition include their ability to carry your items and trade with some of them!

Types of Companions

In the new world of Minecraft PE, there are 4 types of companions, each of which you can tame and utilize their functions. Below is a complete list of information about each type of companion:

• High rank: librarian and priest (white and pink colors)
  • Invulnerable
  • Exchanges your iron ingots for experience bottles
  • Follows you around
  • Can carry player items
  • Cannot fight
• Lower high rank: blacksmith (black apron)
  • Strong, 50 hp (25 hearts)
  • Assists the player in combat
  • Protects the player from monsters
  • Attacks with the strength of a diamond sword
  • Can carry player items
  • Follows you around
• Medium rank: butcher (white apron)
  • Exchanges your diamonds for: golden apples, coal, bones, fish, emeralds (Wait a few seconds between trades!)
  • Can carry player items
  • Cannot fight
  • Standard health amount
• Low rank: farmer (brown shirt)
  • Can carry player items
  • Attacks other mobs
  • Has a damage of 3 (very low)

Taming Companions

With a diamond, you can easily tame any companion from the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition!

You can give your companion items for safekeeping, which is truly one of the best features of this mod!! (IOS/Android: long press on the villager to open the inventory; Windows10: right-click)

You can retrieve your items at any time! But be cautious, as if any hostile mob in the Minecraft PE world kills your companion, it will take all your items with it to the afterlife!

This is very convenient for survival, as you will have plenty of space, allowing you to carry numerous items throughout the MCPE world.

You can trade with librarians, priests, and butchers in the MCPE world. To find out what items they trade, check the description of the companion types above! In the case shown in the screenshot, the player is trading iron ingots for experience bottles!

Farmer and blacksmith are the only companions in MCPE that will protect you in battle!

I recommend not ignoring the complete list of companion functions provided above! Without this knowledge, you may find it quite challenging!

Important

• If a companion dies, all items they were carrying will be lost.
• You can get rid of a companion in three ways: die, kill the companion, or teleport a very long distance.

Changes in v2

• You can now revoke the taming of a companion (villager) by giving them a blank piece of paper.

Installing Villager Companion (.mcpack)

• Download the mod marked with “.mcpack” below.
• Run the downloaded file to import the add-on/texture into MCPE.
• Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
• Set the imported:
  — Add-on Packs for the world.
• Select the imported resource/add-on packs in each section.
• It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!

Installing Villager Companion (.zip)

• Download the mod below.
• Extract the folder “A1Villager_Companions” from the archive.
• Move the folder “A1Villager_Companions” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
• Create a new world or edit an existing one.
• Set the selected world to use the add-on you previously moved to the behavior_packs folder.
• Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
