The mod «Village Locator» introduces a village location map into Minecraft PE, which can be obtained by trading with a villager known as a cartographer. This new map in MCPE will guide you to the nearest village in your vicinity. Villages are excellent sources of food and shelter, making them incredibly beneficial when playing in survival mode in Minecraft Pocket Edition.
How does it work?
Trade with the cartographer to acquire the village location map for the MCPE world. You will need to unlock several trading levels before he will sell it to you. Just keep trading frequently, and eventually, it will become available.
The map, referred to as the “Unknown Map,” will display a small green marker indicating the location of the village in Minecraft PE. Sometimes, you may need to travel considerable distances before actually finding a village.
Installing the Village Locator Map (.mcworld)
- Download the map labeled as «.mcworld» below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the map into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and select the imported world.
Installing the Village Locator Map (.zip):
- Download the map.
- Extract the map from the archive.
- Move the map to the path: “/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds”.
- Open Minecraft PE > Play > Select the installed map.
- Have fun playing!
