The mod “The Grinch” introduces the Grinch into Minecraft. In addition to adding the Grinch, it also features Max the dog and several Christmas gifts. However, this mod is compatible only with version 1.9.0.3 and later (currently the latest beta version available for Minecraft Bedrock).
How does it work?
Grinch
The Grinches you encounter throughout the world will attack players who come too close.
General characteristics:
- Health: 20
- Damage: 4.5 points
- Loot: Cookies
Grinch (Santa Version)
In the “Santa Grinch” version, they won’t attack players unless provoked first. You can tame them using mushroom stew. A tamed Grinch will protect the player from enemies.
General characteristics:
- Health: 75
- Damage: 9 points
- Loot: Cookies
Max
You can find Max anywhere in Minecraft Bedrock. He can be tamed using an egg, just like a wolf. Once tamed, he will defend the player against threats.
General characteristics:
Wild:
- Health: 45
- Damage: 9 points
Tamed:
- Health: 45
- Damage: 9 points
- Follows the player and protects them from danger
Gifts
Gifts can be found scattered across the world. Breaking them will yield something special in Minecraft. There are five gifts of different colors.
Installing The Grinch (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as “.mcpack” below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the add-on/texture into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to the world settings.
- Set the imported options for the world:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-ons. - Select the imported resource packs/add-ons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
