Moveable Structures in Sable
Sable: Pushable Mod
The Sable: Pushable mod integrates players into the mechanics of the Sable environment, enabling them to engage directly with movable structures. As players walk into these structures, they can push them forward by continuing their movement. The block’s response to pushing is influenced by its mass, where lighter blocks glide easily while heavier blocks take longer to gain momentum. Friction may prevent some blocks from moving altogether, and an off-center push can result in rotation.
Players can customize values via a configuration screen available in both English and Russian languages. Important permissions are in place to protect server settings, and these settings are saved for each individual world.
Key Features
| Feature Description | Status |
|---|---|
| Player-driven pushing for Sable sublevels | ✅ |
| Responsive mechanics based on mass, rotation, and interaction of moving objects | ✅ |
| In-game server settings with localization in English and Russian | ✅ |
Player Interaction
To push a Sable structure, simply walk into it. Sprinting will increase your pushing power, while crouching will lessen it. The mod also features a stabilization mechanic to prevent players from getting stuck in a crawling animation due to rotating edges.
Physics in Action
This mod takes advantage of Sable’s realistic mechanics such as mass, inertia, collisions, and engagement points. When pushing a structure that is already in motion, it will counteract with an equal reaction force.
Configuration Options
To modify the parameters, navigate to Mods → Sable: Pushable → Config. Here, you can alter push force, speed, multiplayer settings for sprinting and crouching, contact distance, and connection timeouts. Players in singleplayer mode have the ability to modify these settings, while those on dedicated servers need operator level 2 to make changes, with others only having read-only access.

No Block-ID Allowlist
The Sable: Pushable mod does not implement a block-ID allowlist; both vanilla and modified blocks function seamlessly as long as Sable can incorporate them into a sublevel.
Please note that Sable: Pushable is an unofficial extension of the Sable experience and is not officially linked or supported by the Sable development team.
